Just before the office of my apartment complex closed there doors I had initiated a conversation with an employee as to what I needed to do to end our lease upon the day it would originally end, April 30th. Several weeks later now and having little recourse I am being told as they cannot find my notice to vacate I will be held responsible for an additional months rent. I believe this is due to the fact that they will find it difficult to find a new renter at this time and therefore are claiming I had not already given notice to vacate.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
