I paid 700.00 to replace the transmission on 3/4, and I had my car towed to the business on 3/2

I paid 700.00 to replace the transmission on 3/4, and I had my car towed to the business on 3/2. When I went to pick it up, they told me that my axle was broken. However, my axle was not broken until I brought it into the shop. The owner drove my car before agreeing to work on it, and it wasn't shaking like it is now because of the broken axle. The owner refuses to take responsibility for the damage that occurred while my car was in their possession. The right side is the side that got damaged, and it's the only side that needed to be removed for the transmission replacement.
