Recording Radio Film Connection This is all about my Academic Facilitator

This is all about my Academic Facilitator. Hunter took over as my facilitator near the end of my program and I learned more in that short time than I had in the entire program. I wish I could've learned from him throughout, but I consider myself fortunate to have known him. He is an outstanding instructor, he laid out our sessions really well, focusing on a new topic each week, he would then send me a recording of the session and I could follow along and recreate the Pro Tools session, this went a long way since my hands on experience in the studio was extremely light to non existent. Have to also mention Jon Bicchieri, he took over in the final two weeks of my program. Only had three sessions with him but they were packed with jewels of knowledge and gave me a lot of confidence to keep going forward with learning, experimenting. I am very happy I signed up for this program, I would like to suggest that students should have access to the book for an extended period, or dare I say leave the program owning the book. The tuition fee should include at a minimum course material to keep.

This was truly a great experience as a stepping point into the film world for me! Radio Recording Film Institute provided me the best mentor and academic facilitator that really helped pushed me towards my goals and I'm glad I got to learn so much, while having fun and meeting amazing people in the same process.

This program has been such a great thing for my career and my life. Everything that I've learned in the time being here has tremendously changed my perspective and workflow in working on sound and engineering audio. The staff that Have helped me get set up are super dope and easy to talk with and my mentor Mike is the best. I couldn't have asked for a better mentor and program. I would love to see more people venture into this school and see how much further they can progress. Big thank you to everyone I've come in contact with at RRFC.

I thought that the tuition cost was great because I looked at other schools and they were twice as much and they were online only. I really enjoyed the hands on experiences I got with my mentor and the lessons were very informative. If your thinking of going here I highly recommend it.

When I decided to attend RRFC I felt like I had some knowledge of audio engineering but just needed some guidance to get over the hill. By being in an actual studio with a veteran engineer like *** I was able to achieve what I intentionally intended and then some. Not only on the engineering side of things but also on the production side. The combination of the online curriculum and being with a one on one mentor was the best way for me to learn. I would suggest this school for anyone who has a serious passion *** audio engineering and is trying to make a career out of it.

Recording Radio Film Connection In the Summer of 2020, I contemplated what it was that I really wanted to do in life

In the Summer of 2020, I contemplated what it was that I really wanted to do in life. Part of me wanted to learn how to make music. After a bit of research, I came across the Recording Connection. I decided I was going to take the Ableton Live course due to it being recommended by my mentor and Facilitator, and I was not disappointed. In the beginning I struggled mentally, with this being my first DAW I knew that the first few months were going to be tough, but I persevered. I write this on my graduation date, 3/16, to say to anyone reading this or considering the Recording Connection: Everything is going to take time. Rome was not built in a day. These were the sayings I was told throughout the course that genuinely really helped me. A HUGE thanks to my mentor Mike P. who took me in on Day 1 without knowing a lick of Ableton. If there was ever a time I was struggling during the course (which happened a lot early on), he never would hesitate to reach out. All-in-all I have no regrets applying to this school and taking this course. I learned so much in such a short amount of time, it's unbelievable actually.

Studying music production at RRFC was an amazing experience. Learning from some of music's best producers and engineers is what really makes this program worth it. My mentor G.W. Childs and instructor Sam Zulfer are extremely talented and amazing teachers, and gave me great insight on what it takes to make great music. There's no doubt that this school is worth your time and money with people like G.W. Childs and Sam Zulfer.

Radio Connection literally changed my life! Their approach to learning hands on and apprenticing with REAL RADIO professionals at REAL RADIO STATIONS was what stood out to me about them in the beginning and ultimately what led to me landing a job at one of the biggest sports broadcasting companies in one of the biggest cities in the US! Radio connection is the REAL DEAL, the program does EXACTLY what they advertise if u stick to it and work hard! They saved me time of having to attend a four year university and money by having low tuition costs! My Mentor and Academic Facilitator were there with me the whole way through the program and shared over 20 years of experience and knowledge with me that is priceless! Radio Connection is Education Reimagined to help me stay out of debt and get right where all the real magic happens! I strongly suggest anyone who is motivated, and is looking into schools and programs to attend, to come to Radio Connection and never give up on your dreams

My certification program with RRFC was wonderful! I was enrolled in the Audio Engineering & Music Production program, and learned under Matthew *** at Trilogy Sound Studios in Virginia. He is an excellent teacher, and very knowledgeable. And the coursework was very much doable- A very nice pace with one chapter a week, and a few major assignments that are pretty neat to do, so it never felt too overwhelming, and that helped me never think that I wanted to quit. Overall, it was a great opportunity to get more hands-on experience than I think I would have at a university, plus this was way more affordable for me, which is a huge, huge thing for me! Would definitely recommend trying to get enrolled if you're interested in music, there's a ton of programs to choose from!

Recording Radio Film Connection I do not know where to start, I did not have any knowledge of music production/engineering or have not stepped into a studio before coming in to

I do not know where to start, I did not have any knowledge of music production/engineering or have not stepped into a studio before coming in to the RRFC Program (Ableton Live Production). Starting the program, I felt intimidated going to a studio to learn hands-on and also learning the software. My academic facilitator Bennett Papier has been an amazing help when I am not in the studio but when I am at home learning the curriculum. Bennett checking up on me every week about how I am feeling throughout the course felt like he really cares about me and my career choice to make sure I understand everything that is going on with the music industry. My mentor and his team have also helped me become better at my craft and my presence being in the studio comfortably. As I became intimidated at first going to the studio. My mentor and his team have made me seem like if I was one of them. With their constructive criticism, to their advice, I have felt really comfortable being in the studio. I am really grateful to have found this program, and grateful for my academic facilitator, my mentor, and his team. I would highly recommend this program to upcoming sound engineers and music producers.

Before I started, I saw a few handfuls of bad reviews on the ComplaintsBoard.com website. I'm glad I ignored them, because I don't have a single bad thing to say. I went from working at a liquor store, to working at one of the most prestigious studios in Texas. My student advisor is top notch, my immediate mentor is top notch, the curriculum, the support, the opportunities, everything is incredible. Through hard work, I was able to earn even more hours at the studio, assisting with big band sessions, record label events, etc. I've met and connected with so many talented people, and now I am the right-hand-man to a world class engineer who is teaching me everything I need to know to advance myself through the industry. If you're considering RRFC, consider no longer. Join the program, and work your tail off. Greatness awaits you.

Had a very great experience with this program. I did not expect to learn as much as I did! My mentor was great and he really showed me a lot throughout my time during the course and I feel very ready to start my journey towards the industry . I am now interning at one of the biggest studios in Texas. If you're thinking about going with RRFC I recommend it 100%. Big shout out to my academic advisor and mentor for a great experience

Recording Connection has been a great experience and a very worthwhile investment. My mentors and instructors were all very knowledgeable and professional. I was able to learn, work, and soak up a lot of game in the 6 months (which flies by) from some of the best mixing and mastering engineers in the industry - It's really what you make of it - I came into the program with lots of music to work on, some (very little formal) knowledge of mixing, somewhat of an idea of a career direction as producer/engineer, and lots of questions. After 6 months, I feel like I have a much stronger foundation regarding engineering and running sessions, and certain invaluable people skills by virtue of being around and observing how many of the professional engineers work to set up and run sessions for various clients. Thanks to my mentors, I also now feel extremely confident in my skills using Pro-Tools and certain industry-standard plugins such as Waves and Antares.

Recording Radio Film Connection This program was very helpful in every aspect

This program was very helpful in every aspect. My academic facilitator, Sam Zulfer, is a very intelligent individual. He showed me techniques that I would've never probably learned if it wasn't for him that showed me. Every week we had a session together remotely and I would show him my projects that I would be working on for myself. He would give me feedback on every track that I worked on and talk about different ways I could utilize a certain effect, eq, compressors, etc. My actual mentor, G.W. Childs, was phenomenal. He is a very talented musician that really loves music and enjoys teaching. He takes his time and makes sure that I understand the material before we move on to anything else. Tracks that we made had emotions behind it; that was one thing he really taught me. Emotion behind a track goes a long way, makes music more realistic to the listener; something G.W. always told me. That's what made him such a great teacher for me. I could go on and on about these two amazing teachers, but I would run out of space. Overall, I really benefited from this program, it changed the way I went about making music and taught me techniques that I will never forget. Truly a different experience than a different music school.

This course was the first steps in me creating my career in the music industry! 15k was an investment that will pay back soon once I start working. From the help they provided me to the encouragement & the fact they help find you a job at the studio is the cherry on top with this course. My Mentors Matt & Alex took the time to help whenever I needed it and made sure I always got the concepts correct. Even when I'm in another country & going remote they kept me in the loop with discord & twitch streams, mix with the masters & zoom sessions. Much better than by the book or YouTube. This course gives you the hands on experience you need for an industry like this and I couldn't have asked for a better program (I went to SAIT Polytechnic for audio engineering and this course was waaaay more detailed and comprehensive). Thank you RRFC! For the 6 month journey that changed me from 4 years in accounting to starting my dream of making music for me and everyone I can help and share it with!

Recording Radio Film Connection One of the quickest path to mastery is, learning from a Master

One of the quickest path to mastery is, learning from a Master. I had the opportunity of learning hands on from REAL professionals. Not only do these guys know their onion, but their ability also to pass *** knowledge on, is beyond amazing.

My Academic Facilitator Mr. Campos did not make the process look easy, rather he made it easy. His knowledge can best be described as encyclopedic. His personal interest in my progress has been wonderful. The relationship has been like a "Joint Venture". They just want to see you succeed.

My experience with Mr. Goyanes has simply been outstanding. Through him, I have been able to build contacts and meaningful relationships in the industry. He is all about helping you achieve your goals. He considers my mission, his mission.

I entered the program as an absolute novice. The transformation in six months, cannot be described. Knowing that I have these gurus behind me, even after graduation, further emboldens my quest for an Oscar.

The experience has provided me with a clear vision and path to achieving my goals. The experience is what I call bespoke learning.

The fees are affordable and worth every cent. The learning materials and eBook is loaded with much required information. I could just go on and on. But it is best experienced, than explained

Recording Radio Film Connection The experience i've had while learning at RRFC was great, from meeting my mentor, my academic facilitator, to the other classmates all pursuing

The experience i've had while learning at RRFC was great, from meeting my mentor, my academic facilitator, to the other classmates all pursuing the same goal, to learn how to produce with Ableton. I commend the whole aspect of the mentor/student teaching method which helped me to see how my music could be improved every time I stepped foot in the studio. Understanding how many classmates there were, I do wish that there would have been more 1 on 1 time but am grateful for that time I got to spend learning directly from my mentor. However, I do feel that the online portion of the schooling was, at times, a little unnecessary as a lot of the lessons weren't really covered or gone over in class. But understandable as they do have to have something to be able to grade you on. My Academic Facilitator Dougy, was great and all too ready to help me with any issues I had during the learning process, also guiding me through any problems I was experiencing with my music as well. The loan aspect of the program, in my opinion, doesn't equate to the amount of time spent in the studio only going in once a week, as I would've loved to possibly go in more than that. Overall great experience, a lot was learned, connections were made, and Im grateful to have been able to meet the people I did and looking forward to utilizing what I learned in the future.

To whom it may concern,

I have a history In the music industry and as a female in a male dominated industry I had encountered unfavorable scenarios in the studio and in business. So once I decided to take my career into my own hands and become a producer and engineer everything changed. When I signed up to the Recording Connection I was immediately greeted with respect and kindness. They really are so pro active in helping me with the areas I struggled in and pushing me to the next level making sure I was on point and felt confident in what I was learning and doing. Nick my mentor has been so amazing he is one of my favorite teachers I have ever had. His enthusiasm and creative teaching methods always brought out a new excitement for even the areas I struggled in the first second and even third time. He worked around my schedule and gave me a stress free professional space to learn. Dougy my Tutor was also so amazing. He was always there to support me and keep me on track with my lessons so I didn't fall behind. He was able to kindly deal with me when I was frustrated about my school book and was so helpful. He always gave me A online lesson when I needed it and gave me so many insightful pointers for my computer and my daw and even extra information about mixing, classes, and tips for my career path. Im even more excited about my career than I was when I started. I plan on continuing to learn and even sign up for more classes after this. Thank you so much Recording Connection for giving me the resources to learn my skills and continue pursuing my passion *** music!

Sincerely

Recording Radio Film Connection Im honestly super frustrated with my experience with this school

Im honestly super frustrated with my experience with this school. Im stuck having to pay over $14,000 after receiving very few and short lessons. I went to this school to learn music production and to learn mostly how to edit vocals. I never once got a lesson in vocal production. I am a singer and was never even given the opportunity to go in a vocal booth to record and learn how to edit them more than I already knew. I was told I could rent out the booth. I didn't feel like I was taken seriously by my mentors. I had one main mentor that I rarely saw, partially because of Covid and 3 others throughout my term. I had 1 or 2 lessons from my main mentor during them ENTIRE semester. Don't get me wrong, I liked and got along with all my mentors but, none but one took me seriously and they were just too busy to teach me one on one. One mentor I had through zoom calls helped me more than my main mentor. I'm just frustrated. The school rushes through curriculums and most of what they teach, I could have learned on youtube. I mainly got zoom calls for lessons that were usually only 1 hour long. I left with 0 connections and just a massive debt that's stopping me from doing the one thing I want to do which is make music and make it a career. To anyone wanting to make music a career, my advice is learn on your own and create connections by networking and going out to venues where you can meet artists that are headed where you want to be. Im now working 2 jobs just to make barely enough money to get by because I have this hovering debt from school. Wish I had that money to save and spend on equipment. So do yourself a favor, don't get scammed. Learn from others mistakes.

Recording Radio Film Connection I flunked out of high school

I flunked out of high school. I couldn't get motivated to do work that didn't interested me. I couldn't get the help I needed when I needed it. 40+ kids per teacher made the lessons feel like I was chasing the information I need. It was exhausting. I turned 20 feeling like an idiot. No pathway to gainful employment. It killed my drive for producing. Fortunately, before my passions *** died. I got put onto Recording Connections.

The focus on putting in the work on something I was excited to do flipped my perspective, and made me want to get out of bed. Talking one-on-one made with someone that was living the life you dreamed of made the future something real. Plus learning was just as important as producing. The flexibility in getting help with any issues, The pacing, and the one-on-one time with your mentor. Add up to a perfect career pathway for anyone that maybe leery, or unable to attend a fulltime course.

Do you have a fulltime job you need to keep your family fed, but want to pursuit a rewarding career in something you are truly passionate *** RRFC will make that happen.

Post high school and supporting yourself?
keep your job, skip the student debt to pay for living, and get into a career that rewards your hustle.

Struggle in a classroom setting?
Do you. Work one-on-one, and see how smart you really are in an environment that helps, not harms.

The course material (Textbook/Exams) is just that. Course material. The only stand-out thing is whomever wrote the material threw out the textbook on writing a textbook. none of that thick "wordy" writing you'd expect from a textbook. It's very down-to-earth, and understandable; which lends itself well to the open book exams.

The lack of emphasis on standard education practices (ie open book tests, optional assignments)
was extremely refreshing. Whatever the parallel is in college is not worth the time or money.

Recording Radio Film Connection Working with Alex, I was able to not only get tons of value out of getting my questions answered LIVE, with it just being the two of us, I also

Working with Alex, I was able to not only get tons of value out of getting my questions answered LIVE, with it just being the two of us, I also gained a lot of industry knowledge, mixing shortcuts, tips and tricks from an expert who is actively in the business, and the boost of confidence that's necessary to have in the industry. Out of all of the industry professionals that I have hired and worked with to go over the mixing, mastering, or even the whole list of music production questions that I have, Alex was number 1. Not only did he always have an answer and a position of understanding of what I was mentioning and asking of him, he is quick to deliver. Oftentimes, with other experts, it takes longer for my questions to be answered which makes our meeting go by with less value out of it because less topics were discussed and less questions were answered. There have been plenty of moments in which during a lesson with Alex, I had felt the need to immediately thank him during the call for such value and only 5 mins had went by. Needless to say, lessons that I have learned from Alex, I will certainly take and apply them to my every day lifestyle even outside of music. I know that I have become a better creator, artist, student, and person through the Audio Engineering & Music Production program with RRFC and I know that success is around the corner. The value that I have received through this amazing opportunity is completely unmatched and I truly feel blessed to have had this experience and it being given where I am from which made me not only proud to have done this program in my hometown but gave me the perspective that I can make my dreams come true here in Charlotte without having to move, in which I never had a desire or a set plan on doing. Attending RRFC provided me with the resources and the strong foundation that I feel was tremendously beneficial for me and the timing of it all was perfect. Thank you RRFC & Maximus Music Record Studios!

Recording Radio Film Connection I cannot emphasize enough or explain the multitude of benefits that I gained through my experience at RRFC

I cannot emphasize enough or explain the multitude of benefits that I gained through my experience at RRFC. It was already hard enough for me to make (what felt like to me) a huge leap of faith to follow what I truly knew to be my passion *** life, music. With so many different schools to choose from, I was unsure which one would be the most beneficial to my education. After a couple of google searches, and reading many reviews, RRFC was the only school that consistently stood out to me. They meet to so many different levels of education and go beyond the books to give you hands on experience. First, they set you up with a local industry professional whom with provide a priceless, mentorship experience. Having this mentorship relationship was VITAL in the application of the ebook lessons and beyond, creating networking opportunities and relationships that continue beyond the completion of the program. Second, the school additionally provides you with your own personal academic advisor whom gives you unconditional support with any questions concerning the program and beyond. My advisor Sam Zulfer, was extremely supportive and invested during my experience through the program; ensuring my understanding of key concepts and techniques. He always reached out to me, and never failed to be there for me when I needed clarity. He made sure to always be there in any format I needed via phone, text, email, or zoom, depending on the nature of the question. Lastly, they provide continued support beyond the program and help you to apply this experience professionally. The relationships that I have gained with my mentor Francesco and advisor Samuel reach beyond graduation, and will continue to do so. RRFC provides real relationship building opportunities that you will not get from other schools. I gained so much more than I ever thought I would through this school, and left me with experience and confidence moving forward. I highly recommend this school for anyone who is passionate *** music.

Recording Radio Film Connection I would like to start off by saying that my experience with the program has been amazing

I would like to start off by saying that my experience with the program has been amazing. The studio I was placed in and the academic supervisor I was provided was absolutely perfect for me. Being in that studio opened up in entire new universe of possibilities that I never even considered prior to sitting in on professional sessions, and my academic supervisor Sam Zulfer was super cool and always a huge help when it came to mix feedback and answering any questions I had. However, there are definitely some room for criticism, and few things you should consider before taking the course. First, the E-book was not what I expected. When I was told I was eligible for the advanced course, I was expecting to learn advanced topics in the E-Book. However the E-book lessons that they provide the advanced students still only covered basic material that I had already learned in my entry level college recording classes. Most of the advanced concepts I learned came from just watching my mentor mix, asking him questions, and taking notes. The 6 to 8 question quiz at the end of every week genuinely felt like a waste of time and money since I paid far far less already to learn these same topics prior to the course at my local community college. That brings me to my final point. If you have developed a new found fiery passion *** music production or recording, AND have the spare money to afford tuition, GO FOR IT. Put your time and effort in, get your moneys worth, and the program will do exactly what it's made to do; provide you with good connections. However, if you already have established skills, and ALL you need is to build connections, you will probably only be disappointed by the courses educational material. The only thing it would provide those set of people is a guaranteed foot in the door, but if you already have a resume, portfolio, and a good set of skills, anyone can start looking for apprenticeships/internships without dropping $13000 on tuition, you just have to have the right attitude and a lot of drive. I found myself somewhere in the middle, so I would say the course was a huge step forward for me, however everyones situation is different. If you are interested in the course, I recommend taking your time when deciding whether or not to take it, and make sure that you are at a level where you can get more out of the program than you put in, because in the end, it really is a long term investment. So be smart and don't waste your money if the course isn't right for you, but absolutely enroll if you can see a career developing from it.

EL MATERIAL APORTADO POR LA ESCUELA,CREO QUE ES MUY BUENO,ESTA CLARO QUE OTRAS PERSONAS PUEDEN PROPONER ALGO MAS BARATO,PERO GRADUARSE DE UNA INSTITUCION OFICIAL,Y QUE EN ELLO SE APORTEN COSAS QUE HOY EN DIA SON CARAS,Y APARTE,SI AYUDAN AL ALUMNO DESPUES DE GRADUARSE,EN INTERSHIPS Y GUIAY A BUSCAR TRABAJOS POSIBLES,CREO QUE VALE LA PENA Y ES MERITORIO Y GRATIFICANTE,SI SE CUMPLE LO QUE PROMETE LA ESCUELA MEDIANTE EL ACUERDO ENTRE AMBOS,VER COMO LA VIDA CAMBIA Y SE OBTIENEN BENEFICIOS.

CREO QUE ESTA A SIDO UNA RESEÑA MUY SINCERA Y HONESTA,ESPERO ME ASIGNEN EL SUPERVISOR PARA LOS INTERSHIPS,Y AYUDA EN MI CARRERA POR UN AÑO,Y ESPERO MANTENER BUENA RELACION Y CONTACTO CON MI MENTOR Y FACILITADOR(AMBOS MUY PROFESIONALES Y ALTAMENTE RECOMENDADOS),Y SI LA ESCUELA CUMPLE CON SU PARTE,ALTAMENTE RECOMENDO ALISTARSE,Y DAR LO MEJOR DE UNO,NO ESPERAR QUE TODO SEA MASTICADO,PUES NO LO SERA,NO ES COMO ESTAR EN UNA CLASE QUE ES SOLO COPIAR,SINO ESTUDIAR Y ARROJARSE AL ESTUDIO Y ESFUERZO,PARA VER LOS LOGROS,Y REPITO,ES GRATIFICANTE Y ESTIMULANTE,EL SI SE HACE EL SACRIFICIO Y SE ESMERA UNO CON DEDICACION AL CURSO,SE VEN LOGROS Y SE EMOCIONA MAS Y SE ENTREGA Y QUIERE MAS,MIRENLO MAS CON EL DESEO DE CONOCIMIENTO Y DISFRUTE DE CRECER,QUE COMO UNA VIA DE DINERO SOLAMENTE,Y NO SE ARREPENTIRAN!

Let me preface this review by saying the biggest reasons why this course wasn't as great of an experience as it could of been is because, of the current struggles of COVID-19 and the conflicts that presented consequences of diminished learning. Not only did the menusia of acclimating life to a broken infrastructure present an issue but, I myself was sick for about 6-7 weeks of this program as well. With all this being said I wanted to express some constructive criticism to a program that I feel is still evolving in their practices.

Being a former percussion student growing up with a myriad of instructors and local musicians of 20 years now, I was posed with a new musical journey in 2020. With losing my fitness job back in the beginning of last year, I was presented with an opportunity to keep moving or to sit still for the duration of quarantine. I decided to put down my career, which has been halted by a broken infrastructure to a thriving section of life that to many people; music, was used as a tool for healing and a continued career. It was the perfect fit for me being able to transition to RRFC in a time where I re-found a passion *** music, into looking at a direction that could be a next career (Audio Engineering).

With researching and finding that there weren't a ton of options for receiving a license in this field of work I chose Recording Connections to be my mentors in a confusing world of sound, that I believed was the perfect fit for my years of being a drummer. Through this process I have had many frustrations with hardware to the software not working well on my PC. From the start it wasn't clear that ProTools was truly a licensed product tailored to the MAC computers. Frankly, I hate Macs so, already I felt at a disadvantage dropping 2k on a computer that without a doubt could handle any computing presented to it. Well, I was wrong with that too. Time and time again I have been "scolded" for choosing this computer which no one mentioned from the jump I was suppose to invest into. This was never mapped out as being something I needed for the program. I just being excited, wanted the best equipment which I undoubtedly felt would do the trick...nope. Get a MAC people. The reality of how much money needed to have a subpar learning environment wasn't ever really mapped out to me.

For the beginning to the end of the course I have had issues with computers. Quickly I learned that my academic mentors only knew audio engineering, not anything else to do with computers really. I found myself time and time again being told to, "go to google" and that "I would often have to trouble shoot things on a whim" during studio time with clients. I get it, but like in all my years of receiving education at Merrimack was I told by a professor to just figure it out on google. Maybe that truly is the case here, but felt half-*** being someone completely foreign to the audio and computer world. To take this course it almost felt as if I was learning computer science at times on my own, outside of the chapter work. Or, at least this is what I found through the struggles of this curriculum.

With all this being said, it too often felt that the chain of command and communication was broken through my time taking the RRFC licensure program. The folks running it never spoke to me again or checked in. My first academic advisor too often couldn't answer my computer issues because they had nothing to do with audio or protools. After a sub-par experience with my first advisor (Nico), for some reason he had to switch out and I got a new advisor who was awesome (Bennett P.). I know that constantly there were offers of taking the online opportunity to sign up for advisement meetings (which is involved in the program), I was too often finding myself cycling back to learning things that were from weeks before because of the sheer amount of knowledge presented that needed to be learned. My mentor from Cybersound had me coming in on weekends to observe another engineer because he was too busy weekdays and the studio manager was too worried about too many people, so was subjected to learning from someone only 2 years in vs. a 10 year veteran.

Without a doubt I am better and more confident than the next person, but I guarantee there are folks out there who know way more than I do without even have gone going through this program. I felt that I could learn almost all of this stuff online, but only if I knew what I needed to ask. Most of the time I found myself cycling back to the internet to get better explanations on things because the practical portion of the course was broken with the pandemic happening. I think maybe twice my observations overlapped the course work. It was wicked confusing and was left to operate on my own accord. Being in grad school, I know that if you want the answers you go and get them and you ask for help when you need it. I did this as much as I could but, truly feel ill-prepared to walk into a studio and sit down and go through the gambit of strategies presented to me over the 20 weeks. I am a visual and hands on learner. Observations isn't enough to drill in and learn this material, plane and simple. We all learn different ways but it was truly impossible with the virus happening.

The best part is everyone knows this. So, I have communicated and my mentors are willing to keep helping me learn and finish up the missing observation hours I missed. Additionally, the career services will work with me over the course of the next year which will help me rock it! I hope this sheds light on issues that maybe some younger students have never presented before and believe there is a ton of room for improvement of this program. All in all, I am proud to have kicked my own *** to struggle through an amazingly dense course, to learn computers to a level I never thought possible, come out a stronger musician and have built a sweet personal network of producers and artists on the east coast.

Thanks RRFC.

I did not receive a minimum of 8 hours per week of studio mentorship at Engine Room Audio because the studio was closed during my enrollment cycle. In the enrollment agreement I was guaranteed a minimum of 8 hours a week of observation and mentorship at Engine Room Audio. Recording Connection did not fulfill their side of the contract and I was not granted such because the studio closed for a large portion of the time I was enrolled as a student in Recording Connection. Studio mentorship is the entirety of the recording connection program. Recording connection did not fulfill what was contractually agreed upon and I was not mentored at a recording studio for a large portion of the time I was enrolled in the program, therefore I deserve a full refund and demand the business desist from further contacting and unlawfully billing me.

C J *** Did not receive what was promised but they want payment in full and now they have put this on my credit In April I cosigned for my Nephew because he was following his dream. He was told he would have studio training and mentorship. Instead what he received was Being switched from studio to studio, Missing appointment due to mentor cancellations, one of the mentors did not even have is own studio he was going from studio to studio of friends in the industry. When my nephew complained he was put in the internship of which he felt he didn't know enough to and wanted the instruction time. He complained again, and was told they will get back with him he waited and no one called him he called them back and was told that he was removed from the program. Now 6 years later, instead of contacting me first in the middle of covid they come after me for *** No prior contact, No anything. They just put this on my credit in June. Which because I own my own business has caused me damage. I could not qualify for the PPE money because they check credit, I did not even know that it was there. I have been contacted several time by there collection company Knight adjustment bureau. But I am not willing to pay for a program that did not honor their part of the contract. A contract goes to ways I cant brake a contract for non payment when the contract was broken for agreed on service. Out of desperateness for my business I was willing to settle the debt for *** and they came back with No they want *** and I am appalled by the indignation from a company that does not keep their word to the students. Now I want the debt rescinded and this removed off my credit. The fact that there are lawsuit against them already for the same exact behaviors, I know that this is a repetitive problem that needs to be addressed and the school should be penalized. I am willing to take this as far as it needs to go so no other young person with visions and dreams will get ripped off by this so called school.

Initially I joined the music business program to grow and work hands on. As time went on I realized this was not going to be a possibility. When joining the Recording Radio & Film Connection music business program I was expecting a hands on, networking, and educating experience, I was told I'd receive a minimum 8 hours a week which was stated in the enrollment agreement instead I was limited to once a week 1 hour zoom calls with vague topics that could be applied to any business. Engine Room audio and RRFC failed to meet the requirements on their end due to the fact that when I started the program the studio was closed for a long period of time while I was enrolled as a student. Although I have a great relationship with my mentor, I was never mentored at a recording studio, with this being said I demand and a full refund of what I paid and request they desist from further contacting and unlawfully billing me.

Recording Radio Film Connection According to the agreement, I should be able to get a refund

According to the agreement, I should be able to get a refund. The organization is not honoring the agreement we both signed. Back in August/September, I contacted Film Connection to learn more about your Production and Cinematography programs. During my recruitment calls, I was led to believe many things that have turned out not to be true. Initially, I expressed my interest in both the Production and Cinematography program. I was told that I should do the Production Program and take the Cinematography elective. Since that phone call, the option for the Cinematography elective has never come back up. Here is a list of statements made to me and my real experience so far in the program: Film Connection Representative Statement: I was told that I would have many options for mentors. Reality: It turned out that I only had one choice for mentors. In a city like Atlanta, I found that shocking and concerning. Film Connection Representative Statement: I was told that I would be able to start and stop when I like. Reality: I explained in the beginning that I have a family and my own business that I still have to manage while taking this course. So when my mentor told me that he would have two eye surgeries in October. I expressed to my advisor that I would like to wait until my mentor was finished with his operations since there was not another option of a mentor for me. This request was ignored. Film Connection Representative Statement: I was told that my mentor worked for Rite Media Group. Reality: It turns out he rents space in their building, but he does not work for them. Film Connection Representative Statement: I was told that I could do a Cinematography elective. Reality: Once the program started, this was forgotten. I can not help but feel like I was told whatever it would take to get me to sign up for the program. I can not help but feel like I am in a bait and switch situation. I am not angry, but I am profoundly disappointed and hurt. I want a refund. According to the contract, I should be able to get a refund of my money.

Recording Radio Film Connection Manipulative sales methods, sent me different curriculum than what is administered

Manipulative sales methods, sent me different curriculum than what is administered. Took over a month to resolve complaint which put me out of refund. I signed up for this program based off the curriculum that was provided prior to signing up for the school. After I was in the program for a month I realized I was missing modules. I then contacted the school and they stated someone would get back to me on this matter. During the conversation I also showed them on their website where it still as of that date had the program curriculum with all modules advertised online. They then changed it overnight to reflect the program missing the additional 2 modules. So when I first called to complain they still were showing the program curriculum on their website with all modules that I thought I was signing up for. I then followed up and never heard from anyone. A month after the complaint was made I received a call from *** who was to help me with this matter. I spent 2 more weeks going back and forth with *** and was told that they made a mistake by sending me the wrong curriculum and that they wanted me to pay an additional *** to get the additional 2 modules even though on their website the price difference was *** I stated that I signed up for the program based off the curriculum that was provided. He stated the school is unwilling to make this situation right and if I wanted the additional modules I would need to pay *** I then stated that I want to know what withdrawing from the school looks like. Another week or so went by and I followed up. They were now stating that I am outside of the prorated refund for the course. I brought up that if this matter had been handled in a timely manner I would have been able to receive a refund. They would not comment and simply stated that I am an active student and that I would have needed to submit in writing a withdrawal from the school.I then stated that I was waiting to hear from someone at the school on the process of withdrawal and how much of a refund I was looking at. I have contacted the CEO twice and never heard back from him. I have spoken to multiple people at the school and they all are unwilling to honor the original curriculum that they sent to me and they stated I can drop out with no refund or pay the difference in program pricing. They are using false advertising methods to get people to sign up. IE the program has a variety of educational mediums to cater to different learning styles. They only use text and still images and 70% of the programs text is reading the free manual that comes with the music program software. They used delay tactics to push me outside of the prorated refund time. Also their refund policy doesn't make sense. They have a refund policy in their contract and in the course catalog. I have repeatedly requested for them to explain the refund policy and itemize how they calculate the prorated refund and they continue to state "You have been provided with all materials". Again the problem being is their refund policy in their documentation is not the policy they are following internally.
