Hamstra Heating & Cooling is a top notch family owned business. Chris, the tech who worked on our ac units Thursday, 4/8, was extremely courteous and knowledgeable. He answered all our questions and completed the work quickly and efficiently.

In a recent incident regarding the breakdown of my heating system, the Hamstra team handled the situation professionally and in a timely manner. I have been a "bronze" service member for the past few years and, without exaggeration, every routine visit or other service call has been handled by friendly, courteous and knowledgeable people.

Hamstra is the best. We had an emergency and they came out in less than two days and showed that another company was trying to take us for a ride. So when we needed help to move the air we decided to put in a new unit. They accommodated our necessity to put in the air later with no extra charge. We put in a UV and air cleaner which has helped my wife with her allergies. In addition, the Nest thermostat is a miracle worker. I no longer play with changing the temps, it reads and adjust for your preference and energy usage. The most trustworthy company I have found.

We use Hamstra Heating and Cooling for several years now. They come to our house twice yearly for maintenance ( we purchased the plan ) and all of their technicians have been very knowledgeable, efficient and polite.Even when we had an issue in between maintenance checks, we called a few different companies for comparison, but the Hamstra technician was right on the problem and solved it immediately.The secretaries who answer the phone are very polite and knowledgeable knowing immediately which department to refer you. And they do remember you by name and account which make it very pleasurable to talk to them. I highly recommend Hamstra Heating and Cooling.

I have used Hamstra since 20!. I have seen three generations of owners- all in the family. In the recent past, I have had them install 3 furnaces, 3 AC/Heater units. No they are not the cheapest; however, you DO get what you pay for. The quality of their work is outstanding; their estimates are accurate and complete- no surprises; the quality of their service is truly excellent, AND their employees- estimators, installers, service people, clerical employees, business office, etc all are pleasant, professional, and effective. I can tell you through my years of experience with them, they are reliable and trustworthy. Last but not least, like all of us they will, rarely make mistakes. They'll fix them on a priority basis, with a smile, and correctly.

I've been working with Hamstra for over 20 years and they are still my number one choice in Tucson for new equipment or maintenance. A company of any size is only as good as its employees and this is where Hamstra shines brighter than the competition. Everyone is ultra friendly, courteous and helpful from the front office to the technician who pulls up in the driveway to work on the equipment. Of particular note is Richard, who I have had the real pleasure of working with on my last two service calls. He pulls up at the appointed time exactly and is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He patiently and completely answers all equipment questions in such a manner that the customer has complete confidence in his abilities and repairs. I will request Richard by name for all my future maintenance needs.

Hamstra came out twice when my aging unit started leaking coolant. They provided detailed quotes for a new unit and explained the choices clearly without any pressure to make a particular choice. They deducted the charges of the two visits from the cost of the new unit and included the rebates available for newer unit (paperwork they completed along with the registration and warranty. Once I made my decision they were efficient, scheduled the work promptly, gave me multiple reminders for the work date, and showed up on time. The two technicians were patient and thorough in answering all my questions and gave me detailed information with photographs of the unit and installation. They explained the new thermostat clearly. I am so pleased with the new unit. It's quieter and much more efficient. A very good experience!

I am a landlord in Grand Rapids, MI and have multiple properties. Over the years I have bought AC/furnaces from a variety of companies. Most companies sound good (and I do a lot of research prior to purchasing) but my experience is that Hamstra Heating & Cooling is in a different class than most. The owner must be a good person. Literally everyone I have had the pleasure of meeting that works for them has worked for many, many years for Hamstra Heating & Cooling. I think the shortest term was five years with the company. Everyone seems knowledgeable, professional, punctual and HONEST. This has not been the case with other companies. As a business owner I place a lot of trust in employees who speak highly of the company, the owner and their job and sincerely mean it. Equipment is fairly sophisticated these days the variable isn't the equipment its the humans who install and maintain these things. They aren't the cheapest but they know what they are doing.

Hamstra Heating & Cooling provides outstanding professional service and timely support from diagnostic problem solving to new HVAC system installation. They are hands down the best HVAC company I've had the pleasure to work with while living in [location] the past 30 years during which we've had to replace numerous HVAC systems. As a retired engineer, I'm very much interested in HVAC installation [specific] specifications. The technicians from Hamstra for our recent HVAC install on 2/4/22 were exceptional (for Air Handler) and outstanding (for Compressor & the New Return-Air Port/Grill). Specifically here is the unique list of their impressive work, which goes above and beyond normal HVAC installations:
