I had a mortgage in 1999 which was repaid in November 2007 but bank withdrew charge from register so I can no longer sell the property?

I have been trying to make contact with you for several weeks as has my lawyer with no success? It has now very urgent or I shall lose my buyer.
Simple matter of confirming the loan has been fully repaid and remove charge from register
