Bottom Line unauthorized charge!

I received a package of books today that I did not order from this company. I called the company and was told they would send me a free shipping label to return the books. If they fail to do so, I will contact the State's Attorney.

I recieved a book, TREASURY OF HEALTH SECRETS NE, on 02/22/10 that I did not order, and have now recieved a bill for the book in the total amount of $47.94, or payments of $31.96. I sent the book back unopened on 02/24/10. So I do not plan to pay for the book, and would like to know why it was sent to me in the first place. Nancy Rose

This company's sales techniques are criminal. I canceled my so called subscription after receiving the first book, which I paid for. They sent me the 2009 edition anyway. After calling them, they told me to mark the package as refused return to sender and that they would could cancel my 'subscription'. Several weeks later I received a bill for the book I returned.

That is completely unethical. If they persist I'll probably have to file a criminal complaint. Someone needs to stop these guys.

I received a bill saying I placed an order for a book and agreed to pay $36.92. I did not receive a book from you and at this point I have no idea what book I ordered or if I even ordered a book from you. Therefor Unless I get a book or am told what I ordered from you I am not going to pay you anything. The letter I received from you also said you have not heard from me. I wrote you a letter by hand not too long ago explaining this very situation. Respectfully Jan Rupert

My mother passed away early 2008, and I am receiving notices also for a book she never received or ordered. They also stated that I have 28 days to pay or it will go to collections. I guess when they call to talk to her, I will give them the address and the phone number of the cemetery where she is buried at. It's the weekend, so I will call on monday and give them a piece of my mind.

Bottom Line recieved an empty box

I recieved a missed delivery ticket from the Post Office, I didn't order anything so I assumed it was a late Christmas gift or something to that effect . When The woman at the Post Office handed me the package which was supposed to contain a book called "Bottom Line Yearbook 2008" from Bottom Line Books, she explained to me that the box had been recieved empty but they are still required to deliver it regardless, in order for the recipient to take action or make new arrangements from whatever company it had been shipped from.
Well the "Bottom Line Is" I never ordered the book in the first place and to make matters worse there was an Invoice attached with a Due On Receipt of Package Bill for $35.90 I was not amused and I will take legal action if they try to collect on this falsely imposed dept.

I received a delivery (an empty package) from the Post Office. Went to the Post Office with the empty package which was supposed to contain books called "Treasury of Health Secrets", "Bottom Line Uncommon Cures" and "Medical Blunders" from Bottom Line Books. He explained to me that the box had been recieved empty but they are still required to deliver it regardless, in order for the recipient to take action or make new arrangements from whatever company it had been shipped from. There was an Invoice attached with a Due On Receipt of Package Bill for $47.54. I have received books from you before and this has never happen. Please advise, what action needs to be taken and I will take legal action if you try to collect on this falsely delivery. The delivery date was February 6, 2008.

Also, please do not send me any books that have not been ordered.

Thank You!

Bottom Line sent unsolicited books to our home and requests payment of $47.94 or they will submit their bill to collections. Otto Huebner is the Credit Manager. We didn't solicit the books sent and didn't bother to read them because we had no interest in their subject matter. I'm going to send their invoice back to them without payment and because they've offered no phone number to contact them, will request a means to return them. I don't feel it should cost me anything in shipping.

My wife received a bill many months ago for a book and I paid the bill thinking it was for a book she ordered. It turned out she did NOT order the book, it was unsolicited, and she was irate at being scammed. My error in paying the bill caused the company to do it AGAIN and this time she has filed a better business bureau complaint (bbb.org). It turns out there are hundreds of complaints against the company and it seems to me that they are preying on senior citizens. BEWARE BOTTOMLINE BOOKS.

I received a bill for $39.00 for a subscription to Bottom Line Personal. I had previously paid this amount to them and copied my check to them to verify the payment. I received a note from them that the payment went to the wrong company and gave me a telefone number to call. I called that number and after looking up my information I was advised that there was a $39 credit on my account for three months. I inquired can they transfer it over and I was told that they are the same company but cannot trasfer the money. I asked what were they going to do I did not call. They had not answer. This has made me decide that I do not want to do anything with this company anymore.

Bottom Line Books sent me 2 books that I never asked for. In fact, I had never even heard of the company or the books until they arrived at my home. I did not open the package, but immediately wrote "return to sender" and took them to the post offiec. I aso sent them an email telling them I did not order, nor would I pay for the books. I told them I had already returned them. Now, about a month later, I receive another bill from them. I am writing "return to sender" on the bill, and it will be mailed tomorrow. Does anyone know of a class action suite being filed against these crooks?

Just today I received in the mail 3 books and a pharmacy discount card that I did not order.
Came with an invoice stating "thank you for you on-line order", and says I owe $47.94.
I ORDERED NOTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! I moved recently (within the past 2 weeks) and this outfit sent the books to my NEW address! How did they get my new address, when I've never ever heard of them before!
The books are: "The World's Greatest Treasury of Health Secrets"
"Uncommon Cures For Everyday Ailments"
"100 Most Common Medical Blunders"
and the "Pharmacy Discount Card". This is a first for me, so I will pay to send them back. If it happens again, I'll just burn them!

I have received invoices on a book I never ordered or received. I keep getting invoiced for it. Have sent 3 letters letting them know, I don't have the book, never ordered the book and will not pay for something I didn't ordered or received. Now they are saying I received the invoice with the book. No I did not. I received 3 additional invoices asking me to explain what the problem is on the back of the letter, which I did and put the name of person on the letter. I have received nothing. Now I am being threatened with collections. Help! What can I do if I can't reach someone ph# or website? I would appreciate any suggestions.

This is not a complaint, per se, but reading here some complaints about Bottom Line Books has got me on edge. I ordered a book which they told me the cost and add a couple of books of interest. I accepted and did received the books as promised. Now I have recieved a second 'warning' about my purchase...I had overlooked the first notice. I was all set to pay them until I came across this area about ripoffs. My problem is ..do i pay them or ignore them? I read one of the complaints that they sent another customer more books even though she did not order them and was threatened if she didn't pay, her credit report would be ruined. keep in mind that I did recieve the products so its not like they scammed me..but i do not want to be solicited in 'buying' more books from them..and be threatened if i do not pay. Any suggestions? BTW, they did include in their payment request, that if I write to them with the payment, not to give my name and address to other company's they would comply and I did mention that I will no longer want any more books.

Company sells and distributes books ordered on the internet.

I ordered a book "bottom line's power aging", because the company's offer was that if it didn't live up to their hype I could keep the book and would not have to send any money - it didn't and I didn't. If there is any other requirement I was not aware of the company never explained that anywhere; next thing I know they are sending me bills for $35.92, and now they have really aggravated me with their current statement that they are putting me up for collections on that amount.

I have tried to call them but the only number I can find on them is actually a cell phone number belonging to a woman (She told me she has also tried several times to contact them to correct the error, which I think is done purposefully, because so many people call with complaints of their fraudulent sales tactics).

If you have had a similar experience please contact me at my phone number - our strength in numbers may finally get bottom line books to straighten out their act!

Sincerely,

Louis castronovo - [protected]
