Aspen Dental Dentist

Beware of Aspen Dental

The TV ads sounded good but I regret not checking the reviews before going there for dentures. I had to pay money up front, which Aspen kept, but I never received any dentures.

My experience with Aspen included
1. "Bait and switch" discount offer.
2. No-show dentist/owner.
3. Appointment cancellations and delays.
4. Staff dentist wanted to fill 2 teeth which were going to be pulled prior to dentures.
5. Expensive, unnecessary "treatments".
6. Charged for "treatments" never received.
7. Lies
8. Question to dentist regarding medication to be used during extraction process was ignored, which could be a health threat to a patient (Elder Abuse?)

Aspen previously lost a class-action lawsuit and another is being called for, but our state and federal lawmakers should take action.

Aspen Dental Mal-practice

My wife went for a $19 x-ray and exam. Was lied to saying she needed to have all teeth pulled because of her diabetes. Putting her trust in the dentist she had her lower teeth pulled. Had dry socket and infection they would not address. Went to interfaith clinic to get exam and anti-biotics. The lower gum has pieces of bone that was never ground down at time of extraction to prep her for dentures. We went back three times before going to the dentist at the clinic. She was mis-informed about the condition of her teeth by a dentist she thought she could trust. Tried to find a lawyer that would take it but no one could help. The dentist and CEO of the company need to be held accountable for their actions and the trama, pain and embarrassment they have caused.

Desired outcome: Restitution for pain, suffering and embarrassment

I came in to the office for my initial appointment so I can set up an appointment for a root canal and a crown due to a broken tooth. Once I arrived I was happy with the service I was receiving and felt comfortable with the Dr. After seeing the doctor I was then shuffled to a financial person. Who after going over all my treatments I was like thi...

I went to Aspen for a cleaning. The dental hygienist cleaned my teeth. Proceeded to tell me I needed to clip the strings under my tongue and upper lip because it may cause acid reflux.  I also needed a $150 treatment for my teeth and gums. In addition, I also needed  to buy a water pik.  The Water Pik I purchased came with a sonic toothbrush. I did the...

Aspen Dental Never advised of money due for x-rays

On September 1, 2020 I took my 17-year-old daughter in for a dental cleaning at Aspen Dental in D'Iberville, MS. I was not allowed to accompany my daughter to the exam room, and after she was in the chair for two hours before they called me into a large public room where they proceeded to advise that she needed "a lot of dental work." At that time, I was advised that the services for that day were "free" of charge. We were quoted a price of over $1, 000 for deep cleaning and that she would need to come back every three months. I decided at that time we would get a second opinion with a different dentist in Biloxi, MS. I contacted Aspen Dental and requested that they provide me with her dental X-Rays, they never advised that there was a $203.00 charge for the X-Rays. They have hired Computer Credit, Inc. to collect the $203.00 charge.

Aspen Dental Services, practices, dr errors

Apon new year appts at aspen, the drs there wanted to pull 2 of my teeth rather than do them in repair. Upon seeing a different dentist for review of they said no and yes crowned both, but in 2 hours, not 3 weeks as aspen does, also the other dentist did it in house for 1/3 the price! So upon return 2-17, pulled crown temp they did, set new crown on to just fall off in 30 minutes in my mouth! Yes fell off! Tried to call office no answer 10x trying. Pissed called nation aspen office and told them. They called a back office phone to hear at lunch was their excuse! Mgr said can't put on recording as too long. But asked was front desk empty? No, was reply. Then why no answer, I asked too if door was locked at that time. Finding it funny a medical office closed during hours or no answer! Mgr asked why had to call corp office? Really,? Here is biggest joke, dr hassan did set in, after arrive back tooth in hand said he would use a stronger glue! What? Permanent crown, plan on falling out later to get more money out of me? Aspen dental stay away! Joke a real joke of an operation! I will never give this joke of service my health anymore! Shingle creek office, brooklyn center mn

9am monday, dec 3rd 2018. Location at 8143 agora parkway ste #105, selma tx 78154. We were locked in a closed aspen dental office for over 3 hours with the office manager doing her high pressure bait and switch tactics to coerce me into co-signing for a friend/ house sitter. I was told not to worry the credit check was only to be used to reduce cost of...

My husband and I have been using aspen Bc it basically the only place we can afford. Well when we have our first few appointments they would tell us a price and then we got there and the price is all of a sudden $50-$150 more than what we were told. Okay whatever we paid it. Okay so then they tell us our Insurance wasn't covering anything and kept charging...

Aspen Dental Cleanliness

Never avoid this business! They put you through so many "tests"! Stuffed many huge items in my mouth that tasted dirty! I should have followed my instincts and left in the middle of their two hour "exam"!
It has been approximately five months since my visit and I am still infected! First my mouth became encrusted with sores, I have a scar on the top of my mouth from one sore that was very deep! Then I started getting a rash around my neck and ears that still today remains but has traveled slowly down to my upper chest and back and shoulders! I have gone to both my family doctor and a dermatologist and neither knew what the rash was!
I am 73 years old and have never had any problems with my skin or rashes like this! Please avoid this if you can.

Desired outcome: That others never has to go through waht I have fofr at least five months and who knows how much longer!

I went in for dentures and aspen said in order to start I would have to sign for a loan. I told them I wanted to have my dentures the same day. They said it wasn't the best way to go and should have the temporary ones in until I could heal from the extractions. Well then the virus hit and I was not able to go back. The loan they had me sign for was just a...

My spouse and I both went for checkups in Oct 2020 and we signed Now to cancer screening of 30.00 and we were both charged, and I was also charged for an electric toothbrush 135.00 and the manager Kelly refuses to credit us. Also, my spouse sat in a chair over an hour and a half for a cleaning, and he said the chair was uncomfortable (he is 68 years old...

My complaint is slow is coming. In 2016 I went to Aspen Dental for a upper and lower partial denture. I agreed to pay with a third party that they offered. I was approved. I have to say I was a bit rushed through this process. I started to receive care and went to every appt. There were so many other issues they concerned themselves with that I never got to...

On November 23/20 I had a bridge placed approximately 3pm. On the morning of November 24/20 I noted the bridge to be very loose. I went into the office (after I called) and the dentist told me to change my diet to a soft one and offered me a teeth guard which I should wear 24/7 except for eating. Bridge cannot be fixed. On November 27 the bridge fell out. I...

I am very displeased with the entire experience. Dr. Laughrey 's priority is not the oral care of his patients. He is more concerned with how much he can charge someone. In the past, I was treated by Dr. Laughrey and he is a subpar dentist. He stated I needed a root canal and crown for tooth #19. He hit my lingual nerve on the bottom right of my mouth. I...
