American Safeguard

Years after what I'll call safeguard's bogus dealing along with the small car dealer I bought the vehicle from, appear to colude. Since Feb 7 th my car's been totalled. Unfortunately it's almost July and after making sure to cross my t's and dot my I's, safeguard sent us a letter denying the claim totally diluting the facts, intimidating us the customer. Luckily my "real" insurance Co who safeguard tried to put against us with outright lies came through with assistance on the phone, but to no avail. This company of thieves illicitly try ALL to get out of paying difficiencies, putting folks in hardship. I will NEVER DEAL with a dealer who pushes this con again nor the likes of Safeguard Gap Ins bogus practices obviously common to them. What's more was how humiliating to learn that after I've moved, I would have to get with the small town dealer and count on him for the gap payment, already debied. 4 mos later and we're not only paying on a new vehicle I had to purchase but paying on a automobile that was totaled that we no longer own. Shameful of them to pull such shams and conduct such business wasting people's money & time. Of interest would be to look at statistics on safeguard's payouts vs NOT... bet the scales are topsy turvy...?
