Alexander Peter Wealth Management

I have had experience with Alexander Peter wealth Managment. I was called up by a girl who then booked me in with [name removed] who appears to be a director of AWPM. [name removed] sounded very convincing on the phone however when I did some digging I discovered that AWPM and [name removed] are not regulated or licensed to provide advice in any country. The use other firms to passport on their license, I looked in the firm and found out [name removed] worked for continental wealth management which lost over 20 million is customers money. [name removed] sent me a proposal which had charges of 3% (management fee, fixed trustee fee) p.a and a setup of 5%. I was paying 8% to release my pension, this seemed expensive and I did some shopping. I found another firm where the charges were significantly cheaper. It appeared [name removed] was receiving upfront commission from the provider on top of the setup fee and yearly fee. This was completely dishonest and it shows it is worth you time and money to shop around. I would not go near Alexander Peter Wealth Management especially when the director has lost millions previously (to be fair he wasnt the owner). Find a company that has its own license, they genuinely want to keep and will provide fair advice
