Anchor/Spotify for Podcasters was a real pain when it came to publishing and editing my podcast. Recording the audio was no problem, but when it came to transitions and music, the website made it tough to achieve what I wanted. Editing the audio for transitions and music was a no-go, so I was stuck with the entire length of the song or transition. Let's say I liked a few seconds of a 15-second transition, well, I had to either include the whole 15 seconds or nothing at all. And as for the songs, the quality was decent since they came directly from Spotify, but the Anchor site restricted me to playing only a random 30 seconds of each song. I couldn't choose the specific part of the song I wanted to play, which meant every music clip had to be exactly 30 seconds, no more and no less.

Now, let's talk about publishing. I was utterly disappointed. I needed to get this podcast out for a homework assignment tonight so that it could be on Spotify by tomorrow. So, I tried to publish it tonight. But guess what? Anchor had other plans. After submitting my podcast, Anchor had the audacity to tell me that everything was good to go. But that wasn't the case at all. I wondered where my podcast disappeared to. Anchor had the nerve to inform me that it was "pending review," meaning some person at the company had to listen to my podcast before it could see the light of day. Seriously, now? Our podcast had no curse words or anything inappropriate; it was an informative show about history. This made absolutely no sense to me, and here I am, writing this review to pass the time while I wait for Anchor to give the green light to my podcast. If it doesn't get approved by tomorrow, my school grades will take a hit. Come on, Anchor, I'm begging you, please let my podcast be published in time!
