Americans Swiss review: Engagement ring that had a stone fall off

On the 13 of March I purchased an engagement ring from the store in Eloff Street Jhb, and on the 24th of March one of the stones fell off the ring

Number 1 the ring was not even two weeks old when the stone fell off, only wore the ring for 10 days and the stone fell off, I went to check reviews on the product and found out that the product has very bad reviews of stones falling off, getting repaired and falling off again after a certain time, that was very disappointing because I really loved the band

My partner went back to the store to either get another product worth the same price or a refund because I obviously do not trust a ring that had a stone fall off within just 10 days of purchase, first the staff tried to convince my partner to get the ring fixed when they had clearly stated we do not want the product anymore since its quality is bad and the reviews we read about it are also not good reviews

I also had to cancel an engagement photo shoot which I had already paid for and lost the money I had paid as a deposit, which is very upsetting because I went to American Swiss because I totally trusted the store to produce quality, this is the very same store my grandmother and mother bought their wedding bands so I was very disappointed when all this happened

Now the sales person is telling me I have to pay an amount of R600 to get my ring polished so that I can change it which is really not fair because it is not my fault that ring had a stone fall off and had to be changed, why should I pay R600 for something that is not my fault, why should I pay R600 because I purchased a faulty product and need it changed?

American Swiss has ruined my whole engagement experience
