Woolworths online shopping.

OK - I live in a kind of remote place. Resources, time and distances are issues.

I do online shopping and getting groceries freighted up, because of the significant distances.

That means I get a delivery from the store to the depot, paid for by me, and then I get the delivery from the depot to me, again paid for by me.

The problems with Woolworths online, fall into several categories.

1. They accept my order, and then require payment for the order.

2. In the next day or two, they assemble my order, with an email the night before stating "Your order is due for delivery tomorrow morning at ABC am.

3. That morning they send me an email stating they are out of stock on X amounts of a number of items - and then tell me they will issue me with a refund, that should take between 3 to 5 days to process.

4. And they are the ONLY business that do this, "Make half a delivery and then wipe their hands of you" .

5. As far as I am concerned, they ought to;

a) ask me if I am willing to accept this, or

b) Offer to delay the sending of the purchase until they restock within a day or two, or

c) Send the other half of the delivery, onto me, at their own expense, when they do restock.

But they don't. They make NO effort to do anything what so ever.

They just tell you your getting half the delivery, and your money for the undelivered purchase, is going to be stuck in limbo for the next 3 to 5 days.

I think this is BS - because it is, and when I contact "Woolworths Online" by phone a large number of pointless and time wasting things happen.

Firstly you get the corporate cluelessness spiels - where you tell them what happened, your personal info, and the sale number, and then they look at the notes and tell you what you told them, because you just read it in the email they sent to you, stating the same information.

This is unfathomably productive.

And instead of taking on board my directives that they just ought to stop doing the really stupid stuff, like sending emails at the last minute, saying tough luck we are out of stock, and a refund is on the way - they ought to at least offer me an OPTION by phone and email (a, b, or c), to which they respond, "The company policy is.. blah, blah, blah, blah, blah..."

They just do not "get it" or set about "making it happen", so I ask for the call to be escalated.

And it just goes through the same battery hen manufactured responses.

And they either refuse to escalate the call, or they tell me, "The manager is not available at this moment, is there something I can help you with?" or they refuse to tell me who the manager is, what their contact details are, or to send a massage to them, with my number, asking them to call me back.

They just stone wall you - every step of them way.

I for one am not going to accept this getting half a delivery and having my cash for groceries stuck in limbo for 3 to 5 days, and I am not going to accept being fobbed off by the "Woolworths Online" call centre corporate robots..

The last "manager" I talked too there, was really just a team leader and he said, it was up to the Bored of Directors to make this decision - he was lying and making it up as he went along.

So I have gone and tried to talk to THE person who is responsible for making THIS decision, within the Woolworths organisation.

The Woolworths switch board, either just sends you back to the same "online shopping team" - which goes nowhere., or they refuse to escalate the call to the responsible manager.

Everyone in that board of directors is completely uncontactable - either directly or indirectly.

All possible avenues of contact around the corporate switch board, are filled with people who will NOT take the matter on board and get anyone to call me back or transfer the matter on the responsible person by escalating the issue. This includes their "media inquiries" dept., their "Code of Conduct" dept., their "Investor relations" dept., etc., etc., etc.

Despite all the happy people shopping with us "signage" all over their websites, they have their communications locked down tight. Meaning that if I won't accept the front line lip service in response to my legitimate issues, meaning that if they cannot get away with throwing me under their bus and making me stay there, there is NO way that I am going to tunnel into that organisation to connect with the person who is responsible for the issues I am raising.

This is just a thoroughly dishonest way to operate.

However - I think I can connect with whoever I choose, because I am good at it..

I am going to stick at this, till I get their dodgy dump you in the gutter with half an order issues sorted out.

I agree. Today's experience was this.
1. Ordered ([protected]) on Monday 20th Nov. for delivery between 10am - 1.opm on Tuesday 21st.
2. Received an "Out of Stock" notice for 12...yes I said 12 items. and advice they will refund me$76-85 in 3-5 days
3. I must say that 6 of the 12 items were fresh food items. (So much for their ads..The Fresh Food People)
4. When I checked online for delivery time it was pushed out each time to the last one which said 3.30 - 4.30. This made me feel very disappointed with Woolies as I was having family for dinner that night and some of the items I had needed were "Out Of Stock"
5 As I am disabled I cannot just whip out to any local supermarket, I rely very much on Woollies.
6 I have been doing online shopping with them for nearly 8 years, but I have noticed of late that many many items are Out of Stock. each time. Perhaps if I choose a Thursday, Friday or Saturday I might have more luck.
7 Previously I had been quite satisfied but I think it service is slipping and perhaps Coles may be a better alternative

Woolworths out of date food

Good evening,

On Sunday 12th November 2017 I purchased a 12 pack of Yoplait Berries yoghurt at Cranbourne East store 3390.

Today, 14th November 2017 I went to eat one of the yoghurts only to notice the 'best before' date on the outside packaging is dated 7th November 2017.

I did not think to check the use by date at the time of purchase, assuming I would not be purchasing an out of date product.

I would appreciate the $7.20 refunded (cost was $8 but I did receive a 10% discount for having car insurance with Woolworths).

I have the entire receipt if required, have only taken photos of the relevant parts.

Regards,
Michelle

Woolworths rude young customer service representatives

Today I was in a rush as I had to pick my family up.
I went to the Eight Mile Plains Woolworths at 230 and was at the self-checkout when a very young girl asked me if I wanted to buy a raffle ticket. Having travelled overseas one of the annoying things in some countries is the constant hawking, at traffic lights and in the streets and shops.
When I decline the offer to buy a raffle ticket the young Customer Service Representative said to her equally young colleague "...wait until he wants some help finding something, he can find it himself, ''
Great culture you are fostering Woolies.
Some respect for our senior citizens. Remember most of them worked very hard all their lives to build what we have today.

Woolworths the renovations at woolworths metro marrickville

For well over a month now the customers have been subject to a complete mess whilst the store at Metro Marrickville is being renovated.
Every time I visit the store it is a nightmare to manoeuvre around and to locate items on the shopping list.
A number of times I've wanted to leave in disgust however the thought of going elsewhere was not an alternative when this is my closest supermarket.
I also think you are placing your employees in a dangerous OH&S position being subject to the dirt, dust, grim and noise. Within being there for 5 minutes my eyes are stinging from the dust!
You should have closed the store and done the renovations in a few weeks.
I find the actions of Woolworths in this case to be disgraceful.

Woolworths ham from deli section

I wanted to buy some sliced ham from you Deli section at Woolworth's Busselton and noticed the sign which reads (something like) "we will be happy to slice meats fresh for you on request". I looked at the pre-sliced hams in the display and it was too thick for me so I asked the lady serving me if she would cut some fresh slices thinly for me. She referred me to what she called "shaved ham" in the cabinet, and said she could not slice it thinner as it would "fall to bits". As she refused my request I purchased the so called "shaved ham" - 6 slices of "premium Aust Ham Off Bone". Far from being "shaved" it was very thick, and 6 slices weighed 0.332kg, i.e. 55.33 grams per slice. The price was $22 per kg or $1.22 per slice. I often buy shaved or very thinly sliced ham from continental deli's for around the same price at get 20 slices for around $9, so it is not impossible to slice the ham thinner.

Is it possible that their deli meat slicer is not able to slice any thinner? Or that the brand of ham cannot be sliced any thinner?

Woolworths bad customer service

Contact centre does not reply to emails or even help telephonically on accounts. Been calling for 5 days already and emailing them and i am an existing account holder. Pathetic service as it looks like they cannot even read.
the banks has even told me that only 90 days statements can be downloaded to current date . August is bloody old but we gave it to them in two parts 1- 15 and 15- 30 . Can these people actually read?

Woolworths pre packaged apples

I purchased a packet of prepacked apples through click and collect. When I opened the packet and took out an apple my finger went straight through the top of the apple. Please see photos attached. I then examined the rest of the apples in the pack. Many of them have bruising and spots on them. I am disgusted at the quality of these apples. It is also ridiculous that I am warned that my complaint will not even be looked at or attract attention because the complaint is too short. Every complaint deserves your attention no matter how short or insignificant it appears to be. I will no longer shop at woolworths after this experience.

Woolworths sanitarium light 'n tasty, home brand cola and blast liquid detergent.

All of these favourite products of mine have been deleted from the shelves at Woolworth's Stores. The first is Sanitarium Light 'n Tasty. I tried Woolworths Antioxidant Fruity Cereal as a substitute. OMG. The box was 1/2 full of tasteless matter resembling bird seed! Secondly, I have always enjoyed Woolworth's Home Brand Cola. It reminded me very much of Tarax R.C. Cola. At 69 cents it sure was better than paying a huge price for Coca Cola, which in my opinion, doesn't taste nearly as good as it used to. I know Home Brand Cola was bottled by Schweppes because I used to work there. It had the traditional Schweppervescence. Now they have replaced it with Woolworth's Select Cola. I don't know who bottles this, but it sure doesn't have the right Cola taste or the lasting gas! Last but not least, Woolworth's have deleted the best "washing up" liquid on the market today called Blast. I have to go to IGA to get Sanitarium and Blast now. Still to find a good cheaper substitute for Coke. Wish Woolworth's would stop mucking around. Their Supermarkets will end up with the same fate as Masters if they keep pissing people off!

Woolworths dirty filthy toilets

I would like to inform your company about the disgusting state and unhygienic state not to mention the staflacocous and ecoli not to mention other germs the male and female toilets are in at your Mayfield store. I am appalled at the this and I am sure that the health department would certainly be the same about it. I would like to see these amenities closed down immediately as they are a health hazard and need to be completely revamped. I cannot believe that in this day and age the the men's toilet do not have a void wall so that customers cannot see men standing at the urinals it is disgraceful that women can see men standing at the urinal . It appears that these toilets have not been updated for around 10-15 years. I also would like to see this store completely remodeled.Could you please make sure that this is passed onto the highest person to make sure that this is done at the earliest. If it is not done I will be taking this matter regarding The filthy toilets up with the New South Wales Health

Woolworths removal of produce in store

I am very disappointed that you have removed Sun Rice Tasty Cheese Rice Cakes for the shelf at your Parkhurst, Rockhampton, QLD store. As this being the only product in all the rice cakes I can eat because of my diet restrictions of gluten free, dairy free and 6 out of the 8 sugars free which only leaves this flavour out of the rice cakes I can have. I cried when I saw it had been removed. I would greatly appreciate it if you could return this product to the shelf, as I am very limited in what I can eat. If not I will have to shop at another chain of supermarket.

Most likely if the product was removed it was either due to costs, sales, or supply. You could contact the store directly to see if they plan on bringing it back, otherwise you may want to find out what other retailers carry the product.

Woolworths delivery/customer service call centre

We have been Woolworths customers for a long time. The last couple of months we started using delivery service. We payed yearly subscription. After today NEVER again!
We ordered 33 items and 18 were missing when delivery arrived. All fresh fruit/veg/dairy/meat was missing. We have a one year old daughter. As Woolworths expect us to be diligent in ordering in time to get delivery when is suited today's working/busy young families, we expect same in return, a full delivery. We have only one small window for delivery - Tuesdays.

When we called to enquire about missing a HUGE part of our paid delivery, we were told "Sorry, we can deliver tomorrow." That is it. Doesn't matter that we counted on food for being delivered and USED today. ALL items missing is day to day necessities. We shop once a week with all meals planned out for our young family. $61.06 worth of food just vanished and all we are told is BAD LUCK!

DISGRACEFUL SERVICE!

Woolworths bad customer service

Got served by a very rude deli staff this morning at the drayton Woolworths. And I'm a shopper that goes there a few times a wk. She had bad attitude when she served me. Frowned the whole time and talked to me like I was a [censor] with sarcasm in her voice. She always has this bad attitude I usually avoid going to the deli when she is on. But today I really needed to get meat. Now I'm in a cranky mood from her she turned a good day to crap

Woolworths woolworths toast loaf bread.

I was astounded to see that Woolworths no longer have their brand of toast loaf at 85 cents.
With different packaging now its gone up to $1.50, an increase of 65 cents.
Another rip off or have they increased the price to keep up with Coles who also are ripping people off with the same.
You cant tell me that it costs more to slice thicker slices than sandwich slices.

Regards Frank.

Thank you Woolworths for stocking a range of vegan alternatives - I'm sure you are seeing a growth in the sales of these products and a move away from animal based buying. BUT
Before staff go adding signage to stores that they would find funny - perhaps they shoud think again. This shows a great deal of disrespect to vegans and vegeterians who care about animal welfare. As what you consider "ground beef" was once a breathing sentient being.

This attitude from Woolworth is disgusting and disrespectful to people as well as the animals. You should increase your range of vegan food choices. You cater for the HALAL BS. Guess where I won't shop in future

Woolworths return

On the 30.10.17 I rang the woolies store during my lunch break. I explained to the person I was speaking to that the night before I had purchased a fruit loaf from the bakery department. When I got home with said loaf and opened it up there was a hair standing up in the loaf. Freaking out I pulled it out of the loaf. She apologised to me about that asked me to bring it back into the store so I can get a refund plus a new loaf for free. When I took it in this afternoon what I got was my refund put onto my shopping that I purchased ( I did not ask her to do that) plus she didn't give me my free loaf and or a rain check. After I tried explaining to her what the First Lady had told me. I left feeling ripped off. Is this normal practice.

Woolworths woolworths branded specially seasoned beef & pork italian style 500g sausages

Tonight I purchased (and cooked) a packet of Woolworths branded Specially Seasoned Beef & Pork Italian Style 500g sausages. Firstly, the taste was ok, However, from the first bite I encountered inedible, chewy grizzle/tissue which was totally disgusting and indigestible. It had to be spat out. I managed to eat most of the sausage but a very large percentage of it contained similiar matter. I found it to be totally unacceptable.

Woolworths self service employee

Today at 3:30pm, i was refused to be allowed into self service by the older employee, glasses and dyed black hair with no explanation why. with another cashier i asked for the manager who arrived, i explained the situation. i then asked him twice if this is allowed to happen, with no direct awnser other than there are other ways to pay. i asked him to follow this up with the employee as to why i am refused service. in the last 3 months by this one employee my partner and i have had our receipt and shopping bags gone through many times, then last week this employee yelled something at us from across the whole shopping complex as we left. my partner and i feel uncomfortable going to your store now. i do not know this woman at all, but feel this employee must be dealt with.

Woolworths online shopping items issues

I am constantly having issues with my online order delivery, in fact I have had a problem with the last three deliveries I have had:
26th September 2017, order# [protected], pauls vanilla custard 2kg-Out of date, a full refund & store credit given.
9th October 2017, order #[protected], Fresh Hoki Blue Grenadier Fillets 0.75kg- refund of $10.50 given. These fillets were disgusting, totally inedible & certainly not fit for human consumption, you should never be selling such atrocious seafood (see attached photos), I believe that more than a store credit was required in this circumstance (see attached email).
23rd October 2017- substitue pauls smarter reduced fat milk 3l for 2x2l but got A2 pura light start instead, refund & $5 store credit given.
I am a full time carer & this is the only reason I do online shopping, as I am unable to get out, the inconvenience & continual problems is not only frustrating but highly inconvenient. I accept that we are all human & mistakes happen, however this is now every delivery & I need some recompense & assurances from you that I will receive quality, in date & correct products.
I look forward to hearing from you regarding this continual issue.
Regards
Selina Henderson

Woolworths customer service

Good morning.
This is a complaint about a complaint.
I recently contacted your Kwinana store manager, after leaving your store- minus 2 bags of shopping. The New bag holders that have been installed are great if you only have a small amount of shopping. My weekly order was large so it went unnoticed that the two bags were still hanging, out of my sight.
The manager TOLD me to come back to store
(I live 10kms away) and when I did, the bags had gone missing from the service desk.
So I was told sorry, we can't help you. I had produced my receipt and roughly highlighted the last 15 items, that I didn't take home with me.
So after all that trouble, i was still without my 2 bags.
I would like to Bring this to your attention for the 3rd time now as a loyal shopper.
One wood think that with Coles soon to open and ALdi jus around the corner, Kwinana store will be doing whatever it takes to keep there customers.
I look forward to hearing from you soon

I'm sorry to hear that you forgot your bags, but it really is your responsibility to make sure you leave with the entirety of your purchase. Legally they are not obligated to keep or replace your items. Unfortunately it is not uncommon for others to lie and say that they forgot items in order to get free products. Fifteen items is a lot of merchandise to replace.
