Walmart self-service check-out

Self-service check-out provides the consumer with the illusion that they are in control and they can make the check out process faster than with trained cashiers at the register. This works great if there are only one or two items neither of which are drinking alcohol or produce. More and more of these lanes are now in place, taking jobs and benefits away from would-be employees. Instead, the consumers are now pseudo-employees, doing our own scanning and bagging so that the corporations no longer have to pay cashiers a wage or pay benefits. They aren't even providing someone to do the bagging of the goods for us. This is just the beginning of stealing more and more of our free time from us. We've given up our lunches, they are no longer paid, our parents used to receive one hour lunch, paid. Now it is a half-hour for lunch, unpaid. The work day is no longer 9 - 5 with a paid lunch hour, as the number of sick days dwindle - which is fine if you are healthy, not if you are sick; a week of the flu and you are wiped out for the year. Even the breaks during the day are dwindling - it isn't said outright, it is just an understanding to work through them. We are giving more and more of our time and ourselves to our employer/corporations with the hopes of getting ahead while receiving less and less in return and spending less and less time at home with our families. Relations between husbands, wives, parents, children, and everyone suffers and will continue to suffer and worsen as we give more and more of ourselves so that corporate America can capitalize not only on goods and services it provides as well as capitalizing further on the people that make up this country. Is this acceptable?

Walmart bad customer service / liars

I bought one of these cards to have my checks deposited on the card for faster access to my money because my employer actually mail you out checks if you dont have direct deposit. I set up direct deposit to the card and everything ws fine for a couple months. But one day i tried to withdraw money from an atm and the atm did not work but walmart took that money from my acct. I called them an told them that i wanted to dispute the transactions for the 45. 00. They then told me i would have to wait until transaction post. I called back a couple days later after transactions post to dispute transactions. They quickly dispute transactions money was returned to my acct within 3 business day. I went to use my card after 45. 00 was credited to my acct to buy my baby some milk and my card was declined. I called my card and the automated system said my card was close. I was pissed so i call to speak with one of the reps they said my card was closed due to a dispute and that a new card was maild out to me. This was the worst thing b / c i got paid that night in which my whole check would be on the card. Good thing i had family to help so while waiting on the card i called a couples day later and they said that my card will arrive by the 9th. I soon recieved anoher card tried to activated but couldnt. I called the rep again which stated that my card was reported as not recieved and another card was sent to me through fedex. . . I was again pissed they also charged me 15. 00 when i never repported my card not recieved anyway rep said theres nothing she card do i will have to wait 3 - 5 businees days. So i called back in three days for a tranckin number and they stated that they didnt have a tracking number available yet. So i called the next day still no tracking number. I req to speak with a supervisor who then told me that my card was does not have the option of being fedex because its a "create your own card" it has to be sent through reg mail. . . Im not going to lie i snapped on her b / c all the reps has been constanly lying to and i was so fed up. I just refused to wait another 10 day for my hard earned money. So she suggested that it be transfered to the basic card i also had i told her to do that right away and i wasnt going to get off the phone until it was on my basic card. It took her less then ten mins to do the transfer. I quickly took all my 637. 50 of that card and cut it up i will never use that card again. The reps are so dishonest and they say anything to get you off the phone. Glad i learned my lesson quickly

1- STOP YELLING... The caps make it hard to read the complaint
2- Open a bank account and have the checks deposited. These cards are Great if you are trying to avoid somone knowing you have money BUT they always cause problems.

Walmart walmart money card

I was introduced to walmart money card by a close family member of mines. I originally got it for my income taxes back in Febuary 2014. Ive never had a problem with it until my very first personalized card was demagnitized, I called to get it replaced, waited exactly a week and recieved my replacement card only to attempt to activate it and they put the wrong expiration date on the first replacement card now im stuck with 2 pay checks on a card that im unable to use. Its hurting me badly because ive already waited an additional 2 weeks for.the.second replacement card and im still waiting, im being very.patient due to the fact im not one to get the.law involved, but if i must, then i will. I have a.home that im renting and need to pay my rent, i work i need gas in my car.to make it to work, i have.to eat, i have to live, once i get all of.my money off this stupid card im closing the.account and then it will be byebye walmart money card for.good, customer service aint worth crap and i need my money, thats not hard at all to understand. You can tell the customer service.people that u cant wait, that ur getting evicted they dont care, but they make sure they keep ur money straight bs.very unsatisfied

Walmart bad management

Our store in Lufkin, Tx needs a lot of attention! Most of the time there are empty shelves, not enough checkers & it's not very clean.
You go over to the Nacogdoches, Tx store & it is so nice. Why can't ours be like that?

Walmart douglas x-trac ii tires

Purchase a set of four douglas x-trac ii tires from walmart on [protected]. I drove back home and notice vibrations coming from the front end. I decided to go back to walmart to talk to service manager. I noticed that there were indentations on the side walls on 3 of the tires. When I placed my finger on the side walls and went around the tire you could feel the inward dent on the tires. The service manager noticed it also and I told him I did not want those tires and that those tires had a manufacturing defect. I decided to upgrade to a set of 4 kumho solus kr2 tires that were $ 46.00 more but have to wait until the next day because they do not have them in stock. Do not purchase any douglas tires from walmart or any other company that carries them

Walmart awful store

Omg_never again will I set foot in the store again - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - they never< ever have enough registers open - - - - - - even the self - serve had only 2 open and they were backed up. I only had 15 items, so I was in the "speedy checkout" line. took me forever. line was through the store - - - - - - - - - - - no manager or supervisor in sight. the woman at register was the slowest human on earth. now, I have worked retail for 27 years - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I know the right and wrong way to run a store, and the time has come to close that freaking walmart store! I could have gone to my local publix 4 times, came back and had dinner, in the time I stood in that line. now, don't hand me that line about, you have to cut hours because of the economy - - - - which i'm sure is part of it, but, this store at collins hill rd, has always had a problem with never enough registers open, although, this afternoon was the absolutely worse it has ever been, also, they must not staff the fabric dept. at all after 5 pm. - - - - - - never anyone working there, and customers have to plead with people in camera dept to call someone to come, which takes 4 or 5 times! maybe you should clean house there - - - - - fire some managers! better yet, like I said before, just close the store!

I have to say can't beat low prices for sure, Take Publix Boar's Head meat, I don't think it's really worth that much a pound, Boar's Head is way over rated very high in price at Publix stores..., When I worked at Publix every first Saturday of the month prices would go up on everything in Publix stores.., I know cause I would put up the new price tags. Be about the time food stamp customers would come in the store, We at Publix would always try and get that extra buc.. When Boar's Head first got in Publix stores' Boar's Head agreement was it would not sell Boar's Head at any other small mom & pop deli shops down south. Well small location deli shops started to sell Boar's Head cheaper, customers would come in Publix and ### about how cheap Boar's Head was at the deli down the road so Publix [censor]ed at Boar's Head. This forced the small deli's to raise prices to meet Publix prices. What happen was them small mom and pop deli's started to close. Publix slice meat was cheaper, Publix Turkey, Ham, Salami, even Publix sliced cheese was cheaper then Boar'S Head. No more.Publix brand foods, can goods etc. Are way higher, you can buy name brands at Walmart for cheaper! Customer service really is not the same at Publix or Walmart, all young workers working for a low pay check that's it. Overall I'm happy with Walmart cheaper prices, Walmart has Thruman's Meat at the deli I find way better, I find Walmart cold items colder at Walmart, no flies at the Deli like Publix during the summer days.Publix was made by customer service and lately Publix has been losing that area of business, I haven't shopped at a Publix in a long time, Lot's of old Publix workers are leaving, Change came to Publix, it's like the most important thing is making way more in sales every year, and not keeping them old full time workers anymore. Publix back in the day would stand out as one of the best places to work and shop, It's slowly dropping in past 4 years. With class action lawsuits (so far 3 this year 2014), DATELINE NBC did a report called HOW SAVE IS YOUR GROCARY STORE, out of just 2 Publix stores 22 critical violations they found at Publix..Walmart had less! SO Publix is not better then Walmart..

Walmart cashiers

This is go to be the worst managed store that I have ever seen..

It keeps happening. Not enough cashiers. At 805pm Saturday 12th of July. Only 3. Cashiers in that big store. Lines were backed up. People complaining. OMG! I hate this store. This is the third time this is happened when I was there...

The manager of this store.has no clue about customer service.

My advise to whoever goes there be prepared to sit in a long line!

Walmart let lady cut in front o long line

I was making a return because the jeans that i bought were too small. Everyone was in line when this woman cut in front of me and told them that she had lost her three year old daughter.

They did not tell her to get back in line. Instead they made a page for all customer and employees to look for the lost child. I told her next time she should wait in line and a few customers in front of me said she lost her child so she should not have to wait in line. Also it is the job of security not the other employees to locate the lost child.

The other staff members should be helping customers.

Last time i was in the store they were too busy looking for a lost boy than to help me out. So because someone was not paying
Attention to their children we have to wait longer, and not get help when needed.

I bought an Elgin watch from the Wal-mart in Liberty Texas two weeks ago for 70.23 total. The band broke in half, I paid with a debit card. Today I took the watch back for a repair or trade for another just like it. The cashier was very nice and said she would have to call a manager because I did not have a RECEIPT. That was fine with me. Along came a manager, I told her i did not want my money back, i just wanted my watch fixed or a trade. She said in a hateful manner, you don't have a receipt, we can't help you. I had two older watches just like the newer one with me that were worn out that I showed her to let her see I was not a thief and all i wanted was a trade or to fix the band. Still the same smart assed reply then she turned and said I don't care what you want, you don't have a receipt and I don't have to listen to you! Her name is Renea. so I asked for the store director, along came another manager and told me the same thing the first one did. Said Max Cordova the store director would be back in an hour. I said fine Ill be back. I went to my bank and got a print out of bank statement for that purchase and returned an hour later. Max Cordova would not come talk to me. In fact the same manager (or stooge) said MAX CORDOVA had taken the rest of the day off. These fools that Wal-mart hire as management have the brains of a gnat. Even with my bank print out prooving I paid for the damn watch, they refused to trade out with me. Just to let you know, If you buy something and need to exchange it, or get money back, and you have no RECEIPT, buy another one and use that receipt for your money back on the other item!

While I agree with you that the parents should be watching their children, the child comes first. The child should not have to be scared of being lost or be abducted because mommy cannot take care of her or him.

Walmart accused of stealing!!!

I opened a new Walmart account and purchased online the same day, a window fan, 2 chairs, and some acrylic stemless wine glasses for summer entertaining. I receive the email that the purchases are ready for pickup, hooray!. I go to the store the following day to pick up my items. No issues in the Walmart.com services department, so I was in a good mood. Even decided to pick up a few more things on the way out. I get to the register, and the items form the online order I have isolated on the cart, and advised the cashier to scan only the things I placed on the belt, as the other items were already paid for. The cashier looks at me, then comes around and scans the window fan anyway. I show her my receipts from the pickup desk as proof that it has been paid for. She says the fan on the receipt is not the one in the cart as the prices are different. The fan rang up $42.96 and was $41.96 on the receipt. The difference is a dollar! I state that the difference in price is not a concern as the fan has been paid for. She then takes the receipt to a floor manager across the way. They huddle while looking at me up and down like I'm trying to pull a fast one. Now my nostrils are flaring. They confer for about 4 mins, Really!? She then comes over and states that she does not know what to do as there is a discrepancy. "Well", I advised, " The fan box has a sticker on it that clearly shows my name and the order number, so why would you re-scan an online purchase in the 1st place?" I also advised that the online price is sometimes lower, (shouldn't she know that as an employee?). She looked at me warily again, but gave up the fight. She rang my additional purchases, which I paid for...SMH, and let me go about my day. Bad JuJu Walmart, I am not one to play the race card, but I wonder if I had been a suburban soccer mom, lets say, would there have been this issue?

Walmart blackmailed by doug savant

I need a Port Arthur Texas Lawyer because Doug Savant who works and Manage Walmart on Memorial Boulevard agreed with some kind of sick pervert issue he made up saying I threatened the normal ladies that work as Cashier on the night shift.I called him 6:53 am June 8 2014 because he was on that Manager work shift accusing me of needing to ask for a form like he is my Daddy.He ain't nobody important to my whole name but we all was black people he accusing me of starting bomb attacks and killing all three people in the store from what Officer Chance seems to not be concerned about because Savant was not on the job for Port Arthur Police to assist my Customer concern of not even being around a problem near them until this day.Because it happen to Dispatch workers so all they want me to understand is their attitude.

Doug Savant and several Port Arthur Police officers are driving around the area allowing some dispatch workers to try and lock me up at Memorial Boulevard Walmart. Ralph Odom is the main suspect.

Wal-mart has messed up again.Why all these stupid self-serve checkouts?They raised ALL the prices and now you have to check your groceries!How many employees did they get to get rid of for this stupid stunt.?As much as they charge for their stuff they should take it to your car and load it. They are not the best deal like they want people to believe.

My Boston loves the Dinner Rounds but they always have moths and moth eggs in them. Walmart needs to be notified about this. Also, they have quit making the smaller bags and only have the 10lb bag and up. I will not be buying them again. I thought it was a freak time but they really have a problem with this.

Without any written notice that I ever saw, they would not accept my manufacturer's coupons. I would have had a bill for 81.00, but after I put back the coupon merchandise, it was only 36.00. I had 16.00 in coupons. I think if they were going to change that policy, it should have been done very publicly.

I was at the local Walmart location recently and a ton of Customers and other Workers witness a butch of different shift Management of some type try and fight me.The only thing I did was defend my legal rights and call the Port Arthur Police.They thought one of the Managers was the Owner.Barely able to walk off the pain and not at fault or legal documents for complaint.The Law either right or wrong this year again.

Walmart didn't get my 40.00 gift card

I have been waiting for 2 months for my 40.00 Wal Mart gift card. My neighbor gave me the information to call and get this free gift card that can help my family and I. My neighbor got a gift card for 50.00 and two 25.00 WalMart gift cards. She got lucky.
I have received my magazines, my gift card for gas and grocery and 20.00, but not my WalMart gift card.
I had mailed two post cards for 20.00 each in an envelope two months ago. I called them and they tell me they haven't received
them. I have already paid 19.99 then I cancel. I think this if unfair. I don't know why they haven't received the gift cards, maybe it was lost in the mail.. The lady gave me the address 30 Buxton Farm Road,
Stamford, Ct. I went on this web site and it looks like an deserted building. I will send a letter to them. I see other people are complaining about these gift cards. I think someone is stealing them? My phone number is [protected], I need to talk to someone about this. I want to be conversant for this. You can call me or email me about this. On several occasions while checking out of the Walmart grocery store I was over charge by the register double ringing some of my products or over charging for the product. I noticed this when I checked my receipt when I got home. This seems to be a constant problem at this store. I feel something should be done with checking this store and to see how many other customers are getting ripped off.

Walmart I cannot access my funds

I called customer service on april 20, 2014 for a new card to be sent to my address, express ship. I was willing to pay $20 for fed ex express because, i had a very importment appointment on friday, april 25th. I informed the customer service representative of this appointment and they assured me i would receive my card on time. I received my card on thursday, april 24th at 5:11pm. I attempted to activate the new card and the automated system said, " this card number could not be found in the system. " i waited until the next morning of april 25, 2014 to personally speak with a representative to handle the issue. The rep told me that the card sent to me was incorrect and couldn't be recognized by the system, but the card was sent to me by walmart with my name on it in place of my lost card. I have been attempting to explain to every single representative i have been transferred to that i cannot wait another day to be able to access my funds. It is not my problem that customer service sent the wrong card to me via fed ex and this is not good customer service skills not being understanding of the situation. I have a family emergency that needed to be handled today and walmart moneycard is preventing me from taking care of it. I am extremely frustrated, upset, and annoyed. I will not only be filing a complaint, but i have called to have an attorney represent me in this case. Walmart moneycard has taken hundreds of dollars from me due to an error on their part and i will now take matters into my own hands!
