Covid shot
I had called Walgreen in Springfield Illinois to see if I could get the covid shot and was told I would have to do it on line, the reason I called I was watching good morning and they had a V P on and see said you could call the store and get a appointment. the people that answer the phone are very rude and they told me only take appointment on line and I said I don't have a computer they said fined some one that does or go to a library. so witch is right. you need to have your people go to a customer service class.

Rx refill
Cannot reach anybody on [protected] line 40 minutes hold. Called local pharmacist and she gave me [protected]. On hold 30 minutes so far after being transferred to e-commerce dept. apparently problem is with walgreen shipment and alliance although previous bottles show alliance. Local pharmacy shows Rx filled 2/9 and same on line chat says no. Alliance shows none [protected]). In the meantime I need my Eliquis and, others. If I have provider send in another request drug company I may not fill as may show done and at this point who knows.
Desired outcome: Need Rx. Need to talk to know if shipped and by whom
When calling any pharmacy I always pick the option for prescribers, and i am not a prescribe.Honestly thats the only way they ever pick up in a decent amount of time.I thought they were gonna be mad at me for dialing that option but nope.I don't think they can tell the difference between a customer line vs prescribe line.You can try it and if they figure it out let them know its unacceptable to wait on hold for longer then 5 minutes.After all sick ppl need their medicine too.Hope this helps someone.
Covid line disaster
I went to pick up an important new heart medication prescribed from my doctor. Upon arriving at a different drive thru location i usually attend in sacramento, ca, I found that the drive thru had been converted into a testing lane. No employees had appropriate PPE, and all people, whether immunocompromised or not, are expected to go through the same line that people symptomatic with covid (including the new strain far more virulent than the one that caused the pandemic) to get our medications.
I called and employees refused to verify my information on the phone and walk a few feet out to the same drop off site for cigarettes and alcohol. They also told me another location might not have my medication and tried to convince me it was "safe". These are not trained health professionals and for a person who would like nothing better than to get their medication (and also not risk death everytime they went outside) I would have liked nothing more than to be done. But I had to call another location. They informed me all walgreens pharmacies would soon have a covid testing site where the drive thru is. The only option they had for me (and everyone else with immune issues) is either risk it, get someone else to risk it, or change pharmacies.
sadly, many have only some pharmacies covered by insurance. Others like myself are allergic to many medications because of complicated issues, and rely on one particular brand of patches, pills, or injectibles. I was informed that there is delivery, but not of controlled substances. I am allergic to every brand of fentanyl patches given one, and walgreens is the only pharmacy in the past 6 years that carries it. I am traumatized wondering what I will do, and fearful for every disabled, vulnerable, and immunocompromised person that this pandemic has left behind.
Its high time delivery was offered of medication, and what a way to employ people during a time of economic depression and massive suffering. If not, there needs to be some way to allow people who are vulnerable a safe way to get their prescriptions. With the new UK variant far more contagious and so many refusing to mask, making errors with testing, the lack of employee PPE I saw, rolling this out is a disaster waiting to happen. It would be so simple to have an area further away with a box, or then allow prescriptions walked 10 feet out the door to curbside with other groceries. Otherwise that is denying the most vulnerable people a safe way to get the most important thing they can at walgreens - and medications for many of us are not a choice. They are a necessity. And regardless of whether insurance dubs generics different or takes allergies into consideration, our bodies do.
Disabled and vulnerable people should not be in line for their medications where people have covid. If I hear one more "but they're in their car/the box is closed/you can mask" and have to explain what being immunocompromised in 2021 means i'm going to cry. So many rely on walgreens pharmacy to fill our prescription needs. Please don't make our trip to fill up into a death trap and fix this before it rolls out everywhere and we're out of luck! If another drive thru near me didn't have this in stock, i'm not sure what i would do. heart conditions can't really wait, and i hate to think of the nightmare so many will go through having an rx called in they desperately need and arriving to see a line of people coughing and spitting.

Billing
Duane Reade local pharmacy agreed it billed to wrong year & ins plan & filled with Walgreens parent for us to get refund as their systems does not permit it. 6 wks later still have heard & got nothing. It is messing up insurance plan for this year. Supervisor was supposed to call me back. Heard nothing. Local pharmacy says they are powerless. I need this solved this week (2.8.21). Walgreens' systems are awful.
Desired outcome: Undo all billing for 2021 and appropriately bill 2020 plan. We have disputed charge pending this.
Lack of service
After ordering over the phone, the prescriptions were ok'd to pickup at the walgreens. When we went into town they were not ready. Received e-mail from Walgreens telling me I was selected to receive a $90 gift if I completed attached survey. Completed the survey and selected a gift and was told all I had to pay was postage of $7.92. Provided my PayPal credit card info. Paypal paid that $7.92 to Limitless Tech Products. Paypal then paid an additional $42.92 to Limitless Supplement. I made no such additional purchase. Paypal notified me that this $42.92 payment is off a type that cannot be refunded. I AM EXTREMELY UPSET and considering legal action if this matter isn't quickly resolved. Limitless Tech and Supplement are used as your agents in this give-away promotion under the name Turbo Health Fitness. I believe both Walgreens and myself have been duped by this outfit. Walgreens, however, is the fault source. Paypay currently has these charges to may account as pending.
