PHH Mortgage

Today is 11/18/2020, I sold my home and paid off the loan 9/15/2020, I have called several times to check on the status of my escrow refund, which by law they are required to refund within 30 to 45 days of the payoff.

Today was my fourth call and was given the same answer, the check is in the mail. When I called on 11/4/2020 I was told I would have the check in my hand within 10 business days. Clearly as of today, 11/18, I do not have the check.

I feel this company is a big rip off as they want their monthly mortgage payment on time or they change late fees and penalties. To bad as the consumer we are not able to charge them with late fees and penalties for not refunding my escrow payment timely.
