Crunch Fitness - Membership cancellation

I was a member of Crunch Fitness on Belle Isle. First of all, the front desk staff especially the ladies at the front desk are rude and unprofessional. I went on January 11, 2025, to cancel my membership. I was told that I had to pay the contract out which was $34.19 and then my contract would be cancelled. So, I did what the representative advise me to do. I checked my bank account and Crunch took another $34.19 from my bank two days later. I called the representative to acquire about this and she asked for my phone number to look up my account and then start saying the account was not cancelled and it is under my daughter. I stated my daughter does not have an account with Crunch because she was not old enough, the representative that signed me up stated she could only come as a guest. My daughter was only a guest and only came when I came. Keep in mind that the female representatives on many occasions tried to get me to sign her up even after I told them she was not old enough. Their cancellation policy is a scam, and they still take money out of your account even after you paid the contract in full and the front desk staffs are rude and unprofessional. Be careful of anything contract or agreements you enter with Crunch on Belle Isle in Orlando FL. This is the one that I was a member with. Terrible experience.

Claimed loss: Took am extra $34.19 out of my account even after I paid the cancellation fee and refused to refund my money.

Desired outcome: I would like the second payment refunded.

Crunch Fitness - Personal trainer fees and contract

September 2020 I went to the local crunch gym closest to me now at Belle Isle in Orlando Florida, to cancel my membership of 4 years. I had not been able to go to the gym for over a year and was not able to use it on a regular basis. The counter person started talking about not canceling and just speak with one of our trainers and let's us set up you a free training session. So after about a half hour of not getting anywhere with cancellation of my membership I agreed to talk to a trainer. He went over a few different plans and said this is really good for you and he kept on until I said ok to the 12 session deal. It was $275 upfront and 3 biweekly payments of $320. I was to receive 2 sessions a week for 6 weeks. I only got 9 out of the 12. I was exposed to COVID and stopped going to the gym as ask by my doctor. My last payment was scheduled for November 2, 2020. I spoke with my trainer about the issue and he said well you still have 3 sessions paid for with me when you are able to come back within 6 months. I said ok. I had thought no more about it. I was transferring to another state and went into the gym to again cancel my membership and again the counter person was saying oh why don't you just freeze it for 6 months so you don't lose your trainer sessions that you have already paid for. You can freeze it for up to 6 months. I finally said ok to the freeze. Didn't think anything more about it. Until I open an email from Crunch asking for $3000. In overdue trainer fees. I called the gym. The lady said you have to talk to your trainer. I text my trainer and he called me back to say that he no longer worked at Crunch he left them in December 2020, and I was not the only person that they had done this to. He said I had to go into the gym and fill out a cancellation form to stop the billing. I ask why. He said that they keep billing you for LIFE no matter what amount of time or number of sessions you sign up for. Even without a trainer. I ask why he didn't tell me this when he signed me up? He said they are told not to disclose the lifelong billing. To avoid or skirt around it. So they are scamming and duping people on trainer sessions. No copy of the contract was ever given to me. And mention of lifelong charges were told to me. This is a scam and con business practice.

Desired outcome: Remove the unauthorized $3000 of overdue charges for unauthorized trainer fees. And cancel my membership.
