This company was supposed to install a tile backsplash for me. I was told it would be a 1-day job. It was nothing but delays and problems. Honestly it was a bad impression right from the start. The person who came and measured was not very professional looking or acting. Then the timeframe they quoted me for the job was unrealistic even if they hadn't run into small snags (showing up at 1pm for the install and still claiming it should be a 1-day job). The installers were also not very professional looking or acting, and I don't like that I never met or talked to them until the day of installation. After running into problems on that first day and leaving the job unfinished, I called and spoke to the installation manager who was not very helpful. The crew came back 10 days later to "finish" the job but ran into more problems (which could have and should have been discovered the first day) and left again. When I called the installation manager 3 days later (who notably didn't reach out to me), he couldn't have cared less. No apology. No questions about what went wrong or how they could make it right. I told him we're done - I don't want these people coming back and will find someone else to do it. The only positive of this experience is that Lowe's refunded me for the labor (which was a separate phone call - the Service Pros manager wasn't helpful at all). Hopefully the crew didn't mess anything up and someone else can come in and finish the job.
I learned that having a contractor who will ONLY do tile work is not practical. Any small hiccups mean that someone else has to come and the job gets delayed. Hire a general contractor who is a problem solver and can do more than 1 thing.
It's disappointing that Lowe's doesn't have a better partner than this.
Recommendation: Go somewhere else
