Pixie Mamas Rescue Rude and unprofessional

I don't know what to say. I'm beyond furious that no one got back with me on the two applications I sent in on two separate dogs at Pixie Mama's Rescue.

It would've been helpful to hear back either way.

I even emailed about a certain dog who I was interested in adopting. No response whatsoever.

We just wanted to find a rescue dog to take into our home.

Pixie Mamas Rescue Unprofessional

2 years ago my buddy received a dog named Basil from a family who could no longer take care of him. Since then his ex took him to court to try and get Basiil back, which he then found out that the original owner signed a contract. A contract in which the previous family was to give Basil back to the rescue if he could no longer be cared for. Since then he has been badmouthed & slandered. He has then tried to re adopt him and donate a generous amount of money but unfortunately the rescue has denied him immediately. Basil was in 100% health when he went back to the rescue & Sam posed zero threat. Why is he unjustly being denied his best friend Basil?

The original owner of Basil asked Sam to take the dog overnight. Sam then stole the dog. I was there as witness to the conversation and the actions and efforts put forth by the family proceeding. Basil was actually helping a little girl who needed his service and provided splice in a dark time. Basil was NEVER at home and very well take care for. No complaints against Pixie Mamas. The original family fought long and hard to retrieve Basil back after the unjust theft. They’re just heartbroken that Basil wasn’t placed back with them. Thank you for looking out for his best interest Pixie Mamas.

Pixie mamas and all their staff are wonderful. They take rehoming their pixies very seriously and strictly. This Issue with Sam was NOT pixie mamas fault. The JUDGE in the court case between Sam and the dogs contractual owner ruled that the rescue gets the dog back. To which SAMs Family illegally/criminal hid the dog saying it ran away then allowed his mother to be arrested, and has asked people to steal his dog for reward, adopt the dog and give it to him (again where he would not be the contractual owner which can be proved since the rescue keeps records therefore not changing that situation Sam was in) and offering a reward for that too! Che has harassed, posted personal info of person working at the rescue, bullied, threatened, and more. Therefore showing he is not a fit home. He would have been considered to be a good adoption option until his actions proved he isn't a good option. Just because you love an animal doesn't mean you are the best for him. And this all started with the legal system where Sam should be fighting not having his friends write negative reviews on Facebook and other websites. All his friends are actually Hurting his chance to ever see his beloved dog again. So sad people let emotions destroy what could have been a good outcome. :-(

Pixie Mamas Rescue dog rescue

I do think Pixie Mamas Rescue leader--the one who responds to emails is very unpeople friendly. You cannot run a rescue if you do not know how to interact with the humans that are going to adopt your dogs and provide you with the funds that keep you in business. Plus, how are you going to keep adopting dogs if you keep acting as if all people are stupid. It is unfair to chastise and ridicule people for asking questions that are not posted on the web page that they receive through petfinder. Don't advertise on petfinder or put a note on petfinder not to use their link to your web page because their link does not find a complete web page. Who would know that? Seems to me that you have turned off enough people that you might want to consider your people approach. Questions are legitimate to ask.

My Mother recently applied to rescue a puppy chihuahua from Pixie Mamas Rescue. I had met the dog through the foster parent who was on her way to bring the dog to the rescue. I knew my mother wanted to adopt a puppy to keep her senior dog company and I fell in love with this dog. The foster mom told me that the dog would have to receive it's shots and be...
