I was shoppping at my local Lowes, I had an employee walk up to my shopping cart full of my soon to be purchases and pull one out! I asked if there was a problem and he said “just checking something.” He had scanned my product, he said, “yup, its the right price.” I couldn’t believe the nerve of this guy, had it been mis-marked did he plan to take it away?...

Lowe's appliances

I purchase a washing machine in Lowe's/ we having problem with this machine sent the first day we had it. First time Lowe's change for a new one/ second time they did the same/ third time I went to the store and told the manager of the store that I had another problem with the machine. The machine eat the clothing and broking all of them. I told Mr. Jim that I need a new machine. He said you need to call the your Lowe's warranty personal . This is situation I had 3 girls an i am 100 disable veterans. We cant wait for long time. I even call Home office=sent message to the CEO of Lowe's. That was 3 week ago. Today they decide to sent a person to work in the machine. Warning if you plan to has a appliances from Lowe's go to another store before you get one. The system or warranty suck. I even tell the manager of the store. Can you chahttp://www.complaintsboard.com/new_complaint/#nge for another one I paid the different. He said Now. Because before it change for a new one. a contractor company has to see the machine 3 time. He said other way he has to get stock with the old machine. and he will loose money. That was the answer. Now I had to wait until the machine work improperly again before I had a change to change or Lowe's replaced again.TODAY THE CONTRACTOR CAME TO THE HOUSE CHANGE ALL THE PART OF THE MACHINE. IF THE MANAGER OF THE STORE CHANGE THE MACHINE= WE NOT HAD TO GO TO ALL THIS MESS. THIS STORE ONLY WANT TO MAKE MONEY. THEY NOT HELP THE CUSTOMER..THEY WANT TO RUIN THE CUSTOMER.

Lowe's lowes reviews site

Lowes reviews site will not publish negative reviews. I have written several reviews recently because I am completely remodeling an older home. The positive reviews were gleefully accepted. The 2 negative ones - a Samsung washer that won't spin to completion sometimes and a Portfolio (Lowes brand) LED track light - are simply rejected with a form letter for no reason and no recourse. I do not write reviews with invective or other unacceptable language. Lowes corporate is being fundamentally dishonest. I hope many people read this because the internet is a great way to inform oneself on consumer services and products. I have not seen this behavior from Amazon or NewEgg for instance. So beware! -> Lowes reviews are filtered to provide overall good scores, which means their review site is biased!

I couldn't agree more. I bought a GE Washer and Dryer less than a year ago, based on the glowing reviews it received on Lowes website. The washer is a complete piece of junk and has broken THREE times in less than 3 months. Lowes won't take it back after 30 days so I had to contact GE. GE is giving me the run around and has repaired the piece of garbage twice and is now "having the review board" decide what to do since it's broken for the third time. It will be out of warranty in about three weeks so I'm sure they are hoping to keep me at bay until then. I trusted Lowes to have accurate reviews on their website and boy, was I stupid. If you research GE washers on other sites you will find that they are complete pieces of junk, with thousands of complaints. Not only has GE lost a customer, Lowes has as well. I'm sorry that I went through Lowes to have my kitchen remodeled a couple of years ago. The work was mediocre at best, and overpriced. I'm DONE with Lowes for life.

Lowe's 10% military discount is a joke

I am an honorably discharged Vietnam vet that served consectively 4 yrs 10mths and 8 days on active duty yet a DD-214 which every service man receives at discharge that shows this service is not good enough for these ###s. I can’t receive my vet benefits or get an ID because i “make too much money”. That is the only reason! I am a tier #8 according to the VA which makes me inelligible just due to my income.

Even with 3 dependents in college my wife (her income shouldn’t count) and I can’t make over about 45-46K to qualify. When explaining this to a Lowes mgr, he treated me as though i was lying to him or was crazy or something and didn’t know what i was talking about. Yes even though i make over 3 times the allowed amount it simply isn’t fair and just because i’m not sitting at the beer joint or panning on the street corner and have made something resourceful of myself, i can’t qualify.

.THAT”S SOCIALISM.! CLASS WARFARE BASED ON INCOME. Typical of these liberal jerks running this country. As for Lowes, well i’m building a 3800 sq ft home…guess where i’m NOT getting my materials !

In Upstate New York Lowe's use to take a DD-214 and NY State puts "Veteran" on your license. when you supply a copy of you DD-214. Lowe's will no longer accept the license in NY you have to apply on line, every state is different with Lowe's. So where ever you live, liven dangerously you are wrong, every state is not the same. If you have to jump through hoops for a mere 10% discount then keep it ! Some places offer 10% to anyone 65 or older so keep it. You need it more then me !

I have always enjoyed and felt proud to be a Veteran shopping at Lowes. The company has made larger than normal profits in our area since Covid; yet, now they have almost completely taken away our Military discount. Our Serving was a life time event; but, Lowe's has made that honor temporary. Sad, sad , sad.

The VA will give you a veteran ID card free of charge. If you already have a category 8 qualification and are approved, you can get VA benefits with COPAYS... you should already have an ID. A few years back Congress did the Mission Act and the ID validating your service was authorized. Its good nationwide, so get it and that will solve your issue. I am also a vet, so do not accuse me of collaboration with Lowes because I am not. This info is to help you.

Lowes advertises they give Discounts to Military and Veterans they don't Stipulate they may not based on income. Yet Lowes Management does Stupid things, shop Home Depot they don't have income requirement. I switched to Home Depot after a bungled Installation Job. Vietnam Vet's most of all deserve more respect, speaking as a Vet, Thank you for your Service in a rotten war got into by our Politicians and lost by our Politicians.

You're a lying [censored] and probably a washout claiming status without an actual honorable discharge. All I ever had to do to get military discount is point to the "veteran" tag on my licences. Never did I fill out credit or income information. A simple actual proof of honorable discharge is sufficient. There is absolutely no way you aren't making this whole thing up.

All I have is a state issued Disability license plate. So, don't expect any Lowes employee to come out to the parking lot to see my DAV tag. I doesn't work That way, any way.
SEPT 2020 i submitted documentation Proving my DVA/VA eligibility. I got a new ph and number in DEC, called Lowes HQ to update. The customer service told me "that OLD ph number is in someone else's name and they have been using your account, someone named Elizabeth" Aint' no one I know.
Over the following 5 months, after their I.T. dept. putting my documents together with my NEW ph, my address and email...and Now 3 ph calls, 6 weeks later, looking for my Replacement card for 'My Lowes acct, its still isn't here. I 'am Not about to step foot into the store to get the same lame stare from the check out.
Over the past 10 years I only tried twice using my VA eligibility, only to find out the ph number Never was in my name at all and it was only this past SEPT I followed up and called their home office to find these folks give NOT a red Ratts a^^ to do their Own follow up. That's where this entire can of worms is. No Where. The exact Same as Lowes customer service and to say the least, those employed in their Stores. Its been my experience to find 1 upfront who is willing to even nod their head in a veteran's direction as if you're not even there. Very disrespectful and as If they don't need My business.
I have a Great Amazon Prime acct. and Use it.
What appears to me is American companies which are invested in by large money financiers Will be and Is the Doom for our society by literally driving U, S. consumers in the direction They want to Grow...i.e China and its conglomerates.

Lowe's established the 10% Military Discount to support the men and women who are currently serving our country in the Armed Services1 and to honor Retired Veterans and VA Recipients.2 This 10% discount is also extended to the immediate family3 of those who are currently serving, Retired Veterans, or VA Recipients.

To qualify for the Everyday 10% Military Discount, you must:

Be currently serving in, or retired from, a qualifying branch of the Armed Services, or be the immediate family member of someone who is and have a valid military ID Card.

Or:

Be a veteran who receives VA benefits and have a valid Veteran Identification Card (VIC).

We honor all Veterans on three specific holidays: Memorial Day, 4th of July and Veterans Day. During these three holiday weekends, we extend the discount to all veterans who served honorably and who present a valid Form DD214 or other proof of service. The Lowe’s Military Discount is extended to the Veteran community on these three holidays only.

The Military Discount must be used on personal purchases only and cannot be used for Lowes.com purchases, previous sales, or the purchase of gift cards or services including product installations. It cannot be combined with the Lowe’s Price Guarantee, or promotions such as "Spend and Get, " "New Mover, " "Project Starter, " "Your Choice, " or discounts such as Quote Support Program (QSP) quotes.

•1 Armed Services — US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, US Marine Corps, US Coast Guard, or the National Guard and who are in active, reserve, or retired status.
•2 Retired Veterans and VA Recipients — Veterans who have retired after 20 years of service and/or those who receive VA Benefits
•3 Immediate Family — Spouses and/or dependent children (up to 18 years old.)
*** This is copied directly from Lowes.com to inform customers about the military discount currently offered. Please understand the employees of Lowe's( in the store I work) wish we could extend the offer to everyone who has ever served in the armed forces and appreciate all of the sacrifices made over the years. Many employees and/or their immediate family members are those very veterens, including mine. Employees have seen both their spiffs and commissions removed over the past year so the discount for military as it stands can remain. Our store has given approximately $320, 000.00 in discounts for the current military discount just in the first quarter of this year. It would be really nice if our valued customers could join us in supporting their brothers-in-arms. Also, remember you can receive the discount during the veteren's holidays stated.

I ran into the same problem with Lowes not honoring their military discount. I'm a disabled Viet Nam veteran and I'm in the process of building a new home. My intention was to buy lots from Lowes using their 10% discount. I was told that I must have a military ID or a VA card. I told them I did not have either, but I did have my DD214, my VA letter stating my disability and my Bronze star letter for Viet Nam service. They would not even look at my letters and just stated that I must have a VA card. I told them that I have not used the VA in over 25 years and I have no need to, so why would I have a VA card? They refused my discount, Lowes does not care about veterans at all.

You make more than 45k (since you said you're in that bracket). And you're complaining about 10%. Most employees make far less than that and that is what they get too. I don't think a avg of less than $10 a ticket isn't really going to hurt you..Not many people spend more than $100 avg ticket.

Save that discount for the Vets that make less than you. That actually need it. The one's on a fixed income.

His "ELIGIBILITY" is WHAT Lowes is attempting to dish out and call it "Honoring Veterans" And he has done exactly what I did. DUMP the VA...not Needed.
Lowes honors green backs, platinum Visa's and other plastic. AND THATS ALL.
Lowes themselves Have NO Honor. period.

Lowe's damage to micro-beveled edges

had swiftlock flooring put throughout whole house. in the areas where the dogs eat, drink we have mats, rugs and are very careful. the micro-beveled edges are the problems. if water is spilled from the dogs mouth etc. dropped water in the kitchen area, normal living thus the reasoning behind having laminate flooring. i have had the cheapest stuff before and have never had a single complaint. my grandaughter would kick the dog bowl (accidentally) or would leave a wet towel or bathing suit and it was never a problem. this product makes it impossible to live without constantly being the floor police. we think that it is the beveled edge, that is the only place where we have this problem. the floor swells and stays puffed up forever after.

I have the same problem. According to Lowes the floor can really never get wet except for a very fast clean up. You need a controlled environment with a very low humidity. Please keep in mind this flooring was placed in my home in central Florida. I have other laminate flooring in the bedrooms and there were no problems. This issue has been going on for a year and a half. Lowes will not help, Swiftlock accepts no responsibility. I will never buy this product again.

Swiftlock flooring sucks. I am in a battle with the maker of this product now. I have had it down about a year and put it through out the whole house and it is bulking up at the seam. I was told it was a product defect but the company still only wants to pay us for one room not the whole house and not for the installation of their defective product. I am not giving up. This company needs to know they can't get by with selling a product that will not hold up to their qoute lifetime warranty much less selling people defectives flooring and not doing the right thing about it. Very unhappy with Swiftlock.

We have the same problem. We have contacted Lowes and the manufacturer and they refuse to do anything about it. They said that is what happens with laminate. We have had laminate in our kitchen and family room for 8 years and no problem. The Swiftlock we had installed in two bedrooms and had a puppy who wet the floor and we clearned it right up and it still puckered.
Lowe's told us it has to be cleaned up in 3 seconds. Are they kidding!

Lowe's won't pay for damages

I work at a business that is located next to a Lowe's store. During a windstorm, several of their sheds blew apart, damaging several cars, some to the point of being totalled. We have all been turned down by Lowe's insurance company, they are calling this a "catastrophic" event. I understand a tree or light pole that is anchored to the ground would not be covered, but these sheds are not anchored and have caused damage in the past. We were just hoping to have our deductibles covered but have gotten a flat no from the insurance company. No one at Lowe's will discuss this with us. I am hoping someone can contact me so we can resolve this issue. There are many bad feelings that could be easily resolved. In the meantime, we are warning everyone that they could be injured if they are near those sheds when it is windy. They are fortunate that no one was in the parking lot at the time.

If you are buying any of Lowes appliances. Don't buy the extended warranty. TWO weeks ago Monday we called because of the dryer was not working and we bought the extended warranty they set up and appointment for a service call for the Saturday after the Monday we called then come Saturday no call so we called and were told oh we canceled that appointment because we do not service the Lexington area. We many times holding finally got in touch with the department that sets up service calls AGAIN. They finally set up another appointment for the following Monday and what did they do. NO CALL and they CANCELED our appointment again because THEY DON'T SERVICE THE LEXINGTON AREA. So now here we are the next Tuesday with someone supposedly coming out today between 1-4 only to tell us they are only sending someone to access what the problem is. WE HAVE TOLD THEM OVER AND OVER IT IS THE BELT! So let’s see it they show up today or even better not call and cancel our apt YET AGAIN!. Oh and when we called to get the corporate number to complain on how we have been treated. We were switched back to the idiots that did this in the first place and were told we would just have to deal with it they have a process they have to go through. I WILL NEVER EVER USE LOWES FOR ANOTHER PURCHASE OF A MAJOR APPLIANCE AGAIN.

Lowe's remotes do not work!

Wish I'd seen these complaints BEFORE I bought these fans! The model I purchased included a domed light which easily camouflaged the cfl bulbs. We purchased 6 of these for renovations at our new house. At 4 years and 4 months, not only has all 6 fan remotes gone out, but three replacements as well! Insult to injury, 2 went out within the first 30 days and - as much as I've always loved Lowes, they wouldn't do a thing...saying I'd have to contact the manufacturer. My only option was to leave a voicemail... needless to say, I never heard back even after multiple calls. I did attempt to report this to the Better Business bureau but was told, they could do nothing if they couldn't get the company to at least respond to the "inquiry".
Now I'm forced to buy yet another remote - at this rate I could have purchased new fans for what I've spend repairing these! Someone should put these shysters out of business.

Lowe's poor service

I have a Frigidaire Dehumidifier that I purchased from Lowe's in April, 2009. I purchased an added two year warranty on it through Lowe's. The unit performed wonderfully until a month and a half ago when the unit stopped dehumidifying. I called Lowe's service, who arranged for service. The service company didn't show up despite confirming the appointment. I phoned Lowe's who, after getting in touch with the repair company, said that the company had left two message indicating that the technician wouldn't be keeping the appointment. I don't know where they left the messages, because I never got them. I asked Lowe's to schedule the service again, but with a Different repair company. Lowe's did. This time, the repair person showed up on schedule. However, he indicated that there was no problem with the unit. I've been using this unit for 2 1/2 years! I would know when the unit isn't functioning properly. He indicated that I would have to turn the unit on, set if for Continuous for three days, and I would see that the unit is functioning properly. I explained to him that if the unit was functioning properly, it would reduce the humidity in the room from 50 to 45 in a matter of minutes as it always did. He insisted that it would take days to reduce the humidity by that level. He also had the audacity to tell me that he was going to tell Lowe's that the unit is functioning normally and that it was Lowe's option as to whether to pay him or charge me $102.00 for the service call! I the meantime, I've placed the unit in Continuous mode as he suggested, and my humidity meter keeps showing INCREASING humidity rather than steady or decreasing humidity. It's obvious that this unit is not dehumidifying at all. There is no water in the bucket!

Lowe's purchased with 2 broken bulbs

I purchased this light kit and a ceiling fan from Lowes. Model # 0317149. After the man I hired to install the fan and light kit he discovered that two of the bulbs were broken. Apparently, somewhere between the factory and the store, the box was roughly handled.
I would greatly appreciate it if the company would send me two replacement bulbs.

Lowe's refusal to duplicate keys

The attendant at this store in the key duplicating area refused to copy a car key. I have never heard this before. The attendant there named "Bob", said it was against the law to duplicate car keys. I checked with Florida law, and contacted my local legal experts. They researched this issue and determined there is no law preventing anyone from duplicating their own car keys, including transponder keys. I was very surprised that "Lowes" is refusing business. I have been shopping at this store for 3 years, and live across the street. I did not appreciate the assumption that all customers are criminals trying to steal cars.

In April 2010, my mother purchased $11, 000+ of products from Lowes and has paid $1500 in Lowes interest for a kitchen that cannot be used and two bathrooms that do not have doors and drawers. 61 weeks later, and 20 visits to her house post installation, Lowe's has done nothing but discuss the situation. Meanwhile my mother who is a senior does not even have a kitchen sink in her home. Not only is my mother out an entire kitchen, bathroom vanities, and all supplies to renovate the three rooms, but she is also paying interest on her personal credit cards for products she can't use, eating every meal out, paying hotel costs for guests, and having to get various family members and professionals to spend their time trying to get Lowe's to respond and take action. They promise things, but nothing has been put in writing to address these problems.

Lowe's light keeps cutting off

I purchased a Harbor Breeze fan a few months ago, less than a year. The light fixture will come on sometimes and other times it won't. When it comes on it stays for a while and then cuts off. I felt one of the compointments and it felt really hot. What is the problem with the fan and light? Can I fix it?

Thank you,

Lowe's tax exempt transaction problems

Good morning, I do not think this will do any good, but I will give it a shot! Yesterday july 27th I went to lowes in meridian ms. I pulled myself and 2 employees off the job to go and get much needed tools for our profession. Spent about and hour gathering items and looking at possible thing we wanted to do later like build a tool room with stainless steel cabinets. After picking out about $2000.00 worth of tools we proceeded to the check out counter. I told the lady before she started that this will be a tax exempt transaction since I have a government credit card.

Lowe's are liars

They are not sincere with their business. There is no career advancement there. They will only advance you only when they feel like it. You can apply for all the positions too your hearts content, but they will not give it to. Even when you have the qualification to the do so. I have been with lowe's for 8 years. Really! They do not care about their employee's at all. They pay them the lowest amount possible. Decrease my hours! I might loose my house. They do not care!
They give you fake "thank you's", there is not sincerity in it at all.
Lowe's is a piece of ### for a corporation. I hate working there, but I do not have a choice. I am screwed by the world! This is america! Bull ###! May be it would be better if I died.
