Lowe's A new appliance that is damaged

I purchased a new refrigerator from Lowes that was delivered on 5/11. It does not cool. I have spent hours on the phone trying to get a replacement to no avail. I need someone to come pick it up ASAP. I purchased another one today from Home Depot.

The order number is [protected] and item number is 4882705. I called Lowes card services today and refused to pay for this item. I have spent hours on the phone trying to get this matter resolved and no one can give me an answer.

Again, please schedule someone to pick this up or I will have no choice but to move it outside in the weather.

This Military Veteran will not be buying from Lowes again!.

Desired outcome: Refund the total Price on my Lowes card and pay for approx. $100 of lost food.

Lowe's Third party delivery

Third party delivery fiasco. On February 19th I placed an order for an LG French Door refrigerator (Trans#: [protected]) The sales lady checked the warehouse and told me they had two in stock and that I might not get the refrigerator. A week went by and then two and no refrigerator and no call or email from Lowes. The charge was still on my card so I assumed it was on back order. On April 5th I was in the store and checked on the order. Same sales lady looked it up and said I would get delivery on April 26th and I would get a call the day before. Well a few days before the delivery date I get an email saying the new date would be May 10th and I would get a call. I received an automated call on the evening of the 9 telling a delivery was scheduled for the 10 between 8am and noon, if I needed to reschedule to call the local Lowes. I did call because I had a doctors appointment on the 10. The phone rang at the Claypool Hill Lowes for 17 minutes before I got to speak to anyone. The lady apologized saying she was the only one there. I told her my situation and said I could accept delivery before 9am or after 2 pm. She said she would make a note to the delivery manager. On the morning of the 10th I waited till 9am and was back home before 2pm. Waited till around 3:45 and called the Lowes store to see if the delivery was still on. Was given an number for a third party delivery service. Called that number only to get a voice mail, called back and got a person. They said they would check to see what was going on and get back to me within the hour. One hour later they called and assured me the delivery would take place before end of day.

Let the fiasco begin. Around 5pm my wife happens to see a truck parked across the street unloading something. I went out and saw they had a range on there appliance cart and was fixing to cross the street. I called out and told them that it was not mine, I was to get a refrigerator. As I walked towards the truck they were looking at some papers. I got to the back of the truck and all I could see was a used refrigerator setting near the back of the truck. I did not see my refrigerator and the truck bed was not tall enough to carry it in my opinion. (I worked for 15 years for a furniture and appliance store in sales and often helped with deliveries, I know how to deliver and set up appliances). I told the driver I did not see my refrigerator on the truck, he said it was there. I told him he could get off the street and park behind the house and it would be much easier. He asked to see where the refrigerator was going and I took him in the back door to the kitchen and showed him where it was to go. I told him that I though he might have to take the doors off to get it the house. He said he was not sure about that and went out the door and was walking towards the truck. I said again (based on the height of the truck box) that I did not think the refrigerator was in there. I began walking towards the truck when he said I did not have to come to the truck, that I should believe him. I said I can walk and I just what to see with my own eyes. I got to the back of the truck and did not see anything, so I stepped up in the truck and there laying on its side was my refrigerator, yes laying on its side. He told me that I had to get off the truck due to liability, I said fine and proceeded to step out when he called out again to get out. I told him that the refrigerator should not be on its side and he just said it was not a problem that it just needed to set up right for 30 minutes. I know that is not right. I walked by to my house and he followed me up to the door. He said that it was late in the evening and that if he had to take the doors off they did not have time and said “this is your castle, your domain, is there somewhere I can set the refrigerator, we don’t have time to get it in side?” I told him it was going in the house even if he had to come back. He said he would have to call Lowes to see if the delivery could be rescheduled. I said that was fine. He walked back to his truck and drove off. Needless to say, I was upset and my wife was really upset. I waited about an hour to cool off and called the Lowes store and spoke with a manager. I explained what had happened and really did not like the idea of the refrigerator being on its side. If the third party delivery company does not have the proper equipment to make such a delivery, why is Lowes using them? The manager said this was the second complaint he had received that day on this delivery team. He assured me that he would get things straightened out and would get back to me the next day. He also assured me that it would be a different delivery team. Well, the next day came and went, the manager did not call. I did receive around 5:30 pm another automated call about the delivery and that it would be May 12 between 8am and noon. OK, that should work. Well around 9am on the May 12, 2023 there was a knock on the front door, it was the same two guys that was there on the 10th. They had the truck parked in the street behind our house and had the refrigerator on the ground in the box (and of course it had be on its side again). They had an appliance dolly but just wrestled the box back and forth on the road, then down steps to my deck and then down some more steps to my back porch. There were two 100 pound propane tanks setting out side the porch door and they told me that they were blocking the way. I told them I did not think so but they could be moved. I was told they could not touch them and they did not now what Lowes had told me but they had to have an unobstructed path. I told them Lowes only told me that it would be delivered and set up and just step back and what me move the propane tanks. I suspect they wanted to leave the refrigerator setting where it was. Tanks moved, they unboxed the refrigerator and wiggly it up on a four wheel dolly. They proceed onto the porch to the back kitchen door. I had put a large piece of cardboard and thin moving blankets on the kitchen floor. The lead guy comes in and kicks them out of the way. He orders the other guy inside to lift the refrigerator over the thresh hold and starts pushing the refrigerator through the doorway. They guy inside was doing everything in his power to keep from scratching against the door frame. They get in the kitchen and roll it across the floor putting two indentions all the way across our newly finished floor and twist the refrigerator off the dolly and push it toward the place it was to go, making more indentions in our floor. I had a water line connected to a wall cut off and the lead guy asked if it was Lowes approved, I told him it was from Lowes and he connected it to the refrigerator. He put the handles on the front and took the tape off the upper doors. After that he wiggled it kind of in place and told me not to start it for 30 minutes. I told him that I had contacted LG about the refrigerator being on its side and they said not to use for 24 hours. He said he was told 30 minutes and I said again, for your information it is 24 hours. I asked him if he was going to level it and he goes over and shakes it a few times and says it is alright, has me to sign a page that he says just verifies that it was delivered. I asked him about the unchecked boxes about where I was to sign and he said I could check them if I wanted to. I said, no, it looks like something you should do. He took the paper, handed me a receipt and when out the door.

I was left stripping all the tape and plastic out of the inside, installing the water filter, removing the plastic sheeting off the outside of the doors, leveling and picking up some of the trash in the yard they left.

To say that we are not happy about this experience is an understatement. Clearing this third party deliver crew did not have the equipment or experience in delivering such an appliance. The arrogant attitude of the lead guy made a difficult situation even more difficult. His associate was quite and did make some complimentary small talk. The damage to my floor was totally uncalled for. This was a horrible experience. From what we can gather such experiences with Lowes third party delivery is not uncommon. My wife posted on a social media page what had happen during the first attempt to deliver and within hours 42 individuals had made comments of similar problems. Lowes is loosing customer because of this behavior. We need some more high in appliances for the house we are doing over, but they will not come from Lowes.

I am going to what on a response from someone of authority so I can decide if I need to give my attorney a call.

Desired outcome: Will see what Lowes comes up with.

Lowe's Entire store

Since moving to abilene texas 23 years ago we have alway purchased our appliances from lowes. This past weekend we went to purchse a dish washer. We waited 1 i/2 hrs and no one waited on us. Twices I went to the front and ask that someone help us. They responed that yes they would. I also told them there were 4 customers back there needing help. That was after an hour. One person showed up. We waited another 30 minutes and left. Guess what we went to home depot and with in 20 minutes left with a purchased dishwasher. Now dont get me wrong. I, am not blaming the employes. I am blaing the company that decided they could cut jobs. You have made youur store impossible to get any quality service. This same thing has happened in other departments of your store. As a business I would think you would put some priors in ares like appliances, lumber, electric, paint and train them with some knowlege of that department bet you won' post this complaint your concere is proved at the top of this page showing the results and solutions you have resolved I won't be back home depot first stop

Lowe's Paint

We are loyal Lowes customers who normally have great experiences.

We brought our Infinity® Interior Paint & Primer (1-Gallon) at $61.98 per gallon because of the ONE COAT guarantee. We painted over an existing light brown surface with a light blue. The first coat showed a diffident discoloration, so we needed a second coat.

We have two more rooms to go and will not have enough paint to cover since we need to use two coats.

We need more paint! We need a $61.90 coupon to cover the cost for the new paint.

Lowe's Kitchen cabinets

I paid over 30K for kitchen cabinets and sink and faucet. I had my cabinets and plumbing removed in November of 2022. First week of January 2023 cabinets were installed with exception of the kitchen sink cabinet. February Lowes installer came back to install. Because the sink was heavy cast iron the installer built a support. In doing so he removed the water lines that were put into the drainage pipe laying them down in bottom of cabinet. He failed to replace them in the drainage for safety. Not sure if they hit/tapped the value when installing the support. After they left apparently there was a small drip. There was not issue the 4 months before the sink cabinet was installed. There is now excessive mold under the kitchen sink cabinet. Lowes had the installer come back out to take a look. He lied to cover himself and said there is a leak. There is no leak. If there was a leak there would have been an issue November until sink installation in February. I tightened the value and placed the lines back into the drainage pipe. It is now dry but still the excessive mold. The Lowes manager has done nothing. (BB Downs location Tampa Florida) to give me any information on replacing the one cabinet. I cannot have my counter tops installed. I have been without a kitchen for 6 months. I tracked down the claims department with many, many phone calls. LOWES CLAIMS DEPT REFUSE TO REPLACE THE MOLDED CABINET. While the person who helped me order my cabinet was very good the installers are a nightmare. Very unprofessional. One was sick and coughing on everything. Left my home a saw dust bowl.

Desired outcome: Replaced cabinet or refund if I have to go ahead and rebuy in order to have a kitchen after 6 months.

Purchased machine off website put it together easy enough. However when placed into operation, the belt will not stay on the pulley regardless of tension.

I have to shut off machine, pull off the cover, which fits poorly BTW and reset the belt. Restart and get have a run done, does it again. I've set the tension and so forth.

This machine is completely worthless

Lowe's Flooring measurements

I paid $35.00 on 4/21/23 to have measurements done in my house for flooring. I was given an appointment for 4/24/23 and on 4/23/23 I received a phone call canceling my appointment. No big deal, I called back to reschedule and was given an appointment for 5/2/23 between 5 pm and 8 am. I rushed home from work so I could be there and what do you know, a no call no show this time. If lowes didn't want to do the work why waist people's time and money. I called lowes to tell what was going on and got nothing, no explanation, no apology. Just told me my $35.00 will go back on my card. WOW, NEVER AGAIN

Lowe's Appliance delivery

Ordered Whirlpool oven on Monday 4/24/23 at Lowes DBQ. stated oven was at distribution center and is scheduled to be delivered Wednesday 4/26 between 12-4. I work nights so slept during day and thought phone call was spam caller. Called back when I awoken and was rescheduled by distribution center for Friday 4/28 between 12-4pm. On Friday did not receive by 4pm. was on hold for 40min subsequently hung up and called back. Receiver stated will be there between 8am and 8pm. Still did not receive oven by 8pm. Called back voice recording stated from DBQ Lowes that appliance will be delivered Friday between 9am and 9pm. waited until after 9pm, still no oven. Called in and spoke to Chad from Lowes. He stated that oven was never even loaded on truck for delivery on Friday. He stated had sent grievance to corporate and someone in management will give me a call on Saturday with possible delivery on Sunday or Monday. I have not received a phone call, text message or email regarding my purchase delivery as of 5/1 at 8:45pm. I still don't have my oven, either.

Desired outcome: I would like a response from corporate as to why this had ever escalated this far. I would also like some comenpensation for interruption in delivery. I also would like the oven that I purchased. Thank you

Lowe's Customer service / order pick up

Upon arrival I was met by a frowning face and someone who obviously did not belong in customer service. I was picking up a huge cabinet piece and she (Christa) was not happy about having to move the huge object. She was rude from the start. Part of my order was in the "locker." I explained that I had never used the locker to pick anything up and she refused to help or explain the process at all. Then I was told that she needed my drivers license to pick up the $300 order - which they had NEVER needed before - not even on the near $3K washer and dryer. I have spent thousands on the remodel since August 2022 at Lowe's; however, not sure that they want my business. Today I will open an account at Home Depot in Johnson City.

Desired outcome: Employees to be be required to be friendly and helpful vs rude.

Lowe's 170 Stanley To9ol Set

Saw Lowes Ad for 170 power stanley tool set for $1.95..Offer ready to expire.

Ordered same. Visa charge showed up at $1.95---BUT----also showed up

at $99.95. Where did that come from? Nowhere was there any other price except $1.95.

I want the $99.95 eliminated from my visa account. If the set cannot be delivered for $1.95, then cancel and also credit that amount also plus the $99.95.

This occurred on April 30th.

I would appreciate a resolution to this aiimediately!

Lowe's Riding lawnmower delivery service

I purchased a 30 inch riding mower at the Glenville NY Lowes on 4/7/23, it wasn't delivered until 4/29/23 because it wasn't assembled on time as they told me, very poor service. Then it was delivered without the mulch kit. I called the store immediately. talked to Breanda, said she would look into it, said probably was put aside while the mower was assembled. Said she would look into and call me back, didn't happen. I called again 3 hours later, she was on lunch. Lowe's Counter Warranty

I’m so exhausted & depressed from months and months of fighting with Lowes over screw up after screw up. I don’t know how they get away with doing this to their customers.

Lowes refuses to honor our warranty for 6 month old porcelain counters that have scratches All Over Them. I paid $4,000 for this garbage. Because we had a claim with customer care Lowes has now washed their hands of us. We were told by the “legal team” that we have lost all rights to any warranty.

How is that right or fair? I literally hate Lowes with every fiber of my being.
