I purchased Peter rabbit sheets and blankets for a child’s bed for their birthday on April 4, 2026. A few days after Easter I went in and noticed that the same sheets and blankets that I had purchased. We’re now marked down half price. When I questioned at the front desk, they told me cause it was considered Easter. I found this disturbing because I did not get the blankets and the sheets from the Easter section when I purchased them, they were in the regular sheet section in the back of the store! So I asked if they would do a price match if I brought them back and I was told by the cashier you’d have to speak to the manager, we don’t do that. And then called someone at customer service who said it’s not a policy of HomeGoods to give price match, but it might depend on the manager of the store. I returned to the store a few days later to speak to the store manager, who is in a meeting (conveniently) conveniently at the time. The cashier radio to him or her and I got the same answer again that they don’t do price match and that they had already donated the remaining items. And then asked well. You receipt says I can get a refund within 30 days so how about I return it and you then ring it up at the sale price and they told me if I return it they were just gonna donate what I brought back and I wouldn’t be able to re-purchase it! What poor customer service. I called the corporate office and was told someone would get back to me within a few days. I told him it was already getting close to the 30 day mark and of course it’s now the 30 days and no one has called me back!
