Guilford Gas/AmeriGas review: Want tank removed.

I have been trying to get a tank removed off of my property for 3 months. Since October 2022. Purchased home last May. Sticker on tank is Guilford Gas which has been transferred to AmeriGas. Gas company locked and disconnected tank because I did not call and set up a new account after purchasing home. I chose to go with another company and notified them to remove the original tank. Six calls later and I still have a large gas tank on my property. I have heard everything from that they "need to speak with previous owner", "we will escalate this up", etc. Today they are saying they don't own the tank and I need to dispose of it. That is the first time hearing this. However, if that is the case, then why did they drain the tank, disconnect it and place a lock when I didn't transfer ownership of the account to my name? Need assistance to get resolved from someone.
