By far the worst travel investment, likely the worst investment I've ever made...

First, to be clear, these offers are not exclusively for government or military.

After "subscribing" I tried to use the services and certificates 5 times in the first year and was not able to do so.

You must use their booking site to use
their gift certificates. Their site is never the cheapest option, especially with airfare. In my experience, Kayak or Expedia are always cheaper.

Claims of luxury properties are completely inaccurate. They'll sign up any property. The one area I tried use it in, they only had 2 affiliated "luxury" properties. They were both locally rated 2 stars (out of 5).

I used it to buy a fall Caribbean cruise. Their "price" was not the best price but I thought by using all my "points" it would subsidize the cost. When you add up the cost to acquire the 900 points I applied to the cruise, I paid a lot more than if I would have just bought the cruise through a regular cruise site.

Remember you are paying thousands of dollars a year, when you at up your monthly subscription costs, for this benefit. Perhaps retirees whom just Jersey around the world could be legit from this, but not regular people.

All my " Free vacation" reward certificates expired unused because there was nothing worth staying in during the limited time of the year that I had available for my vacation.

Their quarterly "super values are the only real deals they have, but they inflated the quality of the sites used for that and they are restricted, some a lot, in terms of when you must travel to utilize them.

If you go for a payment plan, they immediately start calling you to pressure you into paying off your balance... because they know their service sucks and if you find that out you might decide to stop paying on it, or cancel it before completing your payments.

While I stop short at calling it an outright scam. You will, likely, not get any actual value out of using it.

Don't do it! You will regret it.

Firstly, when you say you pay thousands of dollars per year that is false, you pay a one-time cost for your membership and you have the benefits for the rest of your life, and all you pay per year is 29$ a year only if you choose to. now when it comes to the cert. it depends on which one you're talking about, one of the certs just discounts your stay, the other one you just pay taxes and fee, which is not there rule its uncle sams rule, and you dont pay anything monthly unless you put the membership on a payment plan with 0 interest for 1 year then your done and you have all the benefits the rest of your life, maybe you didnt have the best account manager to help you max. all your benefits but i know that if you let them know your concerns they will take care of you, if they are in the wrong. the free vacations are amazing. these benefits have save my family thousands of dollars a year
