Me and my nieces and 7 year old nephew went in to the dollar General at 2450 Columbus ave in anderson indiana and as the kids was going in to the store i hear my nephew crying he slipped and fell as he entered the store and hurt his back yes he was running which he should not have been yes there was a caution wet floor sigh but what gets me is the rug was not where it should have been in front of the door not to the side and the works not 1 of the 3 or 4 that was behind the counter could come and see if he was alright they didnt even ask if he was ok not one of them and as we went down where the toys was there is water leaking all over the the paper and not buckets just a sign that say caution wet floor there is leaks all over the store and its a new store the lady said the back room was flooded and they cant use the air conditioner because of the leaks in the roof is leaking into it

I have lived in Ochlocknee all my life and always wanted a dollar general in our little small town. I usually stop by there 3-4 times a week. There are no need for grocery carts because you cannot get down an isle for the stock carts in the middle. You have 2 employees there n one is outside smoking while the other one has a line backed up around the corners. I would rather drive to the next town than endure having to squeeze down an isle or stand in long lines. Numerous people are complaining of the same thing. Sorry so long, but felt this needed being brought to someone's attention.
digital coupons, associate behavior
I went into Dollar General today because I had roughly $30 off with my digital coupons. I punched in my phone number associated with my account and none of the coupons came off, this is not the first time. I looked at my receipt as my husband was loading our $72 dollar purchase and noticed that none of the digital coupons came off. I went back in to tell the assistant manager and she told me that I had to bring everything back in. I explained that my husband had already loaded the car. She said it was the only way. I used to work for Dollar General as an assistant manager and knew that she could do it with my receipt. "Nope!" was her reply. The Dollar General in Saint Ignace Michigan is a joke. Not a single person that works there care about their job or community. I would like all of my digital coupons refunded. I understand if it must be on a gift card.
Maybe if @kettlie123456 wasn't an assistant manager for The Dollar General there would not be a complaint... just sayin'
The store employees have nothing to do with the digital coupon app, that is all handled at a cooperate level. There is at the bottom of the app page on your phone a link to technical support for your use. Stop blaming everyone that works at the store/
If your digitalis did not come off you can not get refunded for them. That would be giving you free cash because you think your entitled to it. They did their job just because it's not the way you wanted it done does not mean your entitled to anything.
They can't just use a receipt to do a refund. They have to scan the products or they risk getting fired.

I'd like to make a complaint on behalf of the Cookson OK dg store! This tore when first come to cookson was amazing! The manager Starla was awesome and took care of the store very well! She left and the store is a disaster! There is stuff everywhere all the time. Employees are a ridiculous mess and haven't a clue how to operate! I loves going into the store, now I dread it every time! Someone needs to get control of this store before it ends up worse than it is! Someone who cares about the store and the employees that help operate it would be a nice first step!

I am a currently employee for Dollar General. I work at the store in Bunkie, La & I would really like to stay anonymous. I really enjoyed working there because it was close to home and I was really good at what I did & the customers love me because I show great customer service. On my last day that I worked I came in for my 7-3 shift & immediately asked my Store Manager (R.O.) what do I need to do during customers because I am always on register. He proceeds to tell me what to do.. so after I thought he was finished I begin to start working on my task.. he then stops & says "HEY BIG MARLEE... I MEAN MARLEE!" & starts laughing about it! There were two other associates that were there, one was an asst.store manager.. I was so embarrassed & my feelings were so hurt, but I brushed it off because I've been called worse before. But I don't think I can continue to work somewhere where my boss makes fun of me & talks about me behind my back because that was obviously not the first time he's said it because of how comfortable he felt saying it. I will not be returning to work & I hate to leave without putting in my 2 weeks notice, but I'm sorry I just can't face him at work. I'm too embarrassed & ashamed. I know I'm a big girl, but I still have feelings. I am a good worker & all of my co workers will vouch for me. I'm sorry, but that you for the chance & opportunity... I hope this doesn't happen to another great employee just because they're over weight.
false advertising
In some of your weekly specials you advertise a certain group of drinks for sale. one in particular is A&W root beer. This cannot be found in any General Dollar stores in the vicinity where I live (a total of 5). Please address this for me because I am a root beer addict. If you can't provide the products in your stores DON'T advertise them. I live in Elmore county in Alabama.
I am very willing to bet that on the flyer there is a place that states "selections vary by store" Not every store sells every brand.
Not all stores carry the same product.

I was at your store today... Sat 9/8/2018 at approximately 9:41 a.M. I purchased a few things including a pack of cigarettes... When I got home (I live 5 min away) I realized she gave me the wrong cigs.. I went back there immediately and explained to the same woman that sold them to me that she gave me the wrong ones.. She was very rude & said there's nothing I can do.. I then went home and the more I thought about it the madder I got.. So I went back up there.. Receipt in hand along with the cigarettes and asked to speak to a manager.. Well low & behold it was the same rude lady... I explained that she made the mistake and very snotty she claimed that I asked for those and there was nothing I could do! I go to that store everyday sometimes 2× and I spend good money there... I will never step foot in there again.. Nor will any of my family and i'll make sure a lot of ppl know how they treat their customers... Her name was natasha and claimed to be your gm!
Its both company policy and against the law to return cigarettes. You should've got the correct ones to start with.

A lot of people do not realize that this is against the law and they just think stores are being rude. The store should have been polite and explained the law instead of just saying no.

It has happened on some the now I've been made to feel uncomfortable to work at my job, she responds rudely an immaturely to simple questions, she doesn't contact u very often at all when she makes a schedule let alone changes to the schedule, or at the very least has failed to contact me in such matters, and has gave me two weeks straight no hours at all, when I tried contacting her as to why I received no responses at all, i don't find this to be appropriate at all I don't even think its legal either an she hasn't failed to notify me once but many times
dgh denture cleanser
I went to our local store today, 9/8/2018, to take advantage of the $5 off of $25 purchase. I purchased $15 worth of DGH Denture Cleanser as it is a product I use daily. To my dismay, all of the boxes in the store were covered with a heavy film of dust. I had a very poor store experience and will address that on the customer survey. Also, when I got home with my items all of my products were expired with a date of 2/ 2018. I, therefore, will be making another trip to the store to return them. Product code: [protected]-100. I took a picture of the box but am unable to attach it at this time but can provide it in the future if needed.

I buy alot of catfood from dollar general. At least 10 sacks of week. I buy the 9lives and purina catfood brands. Earlier this week the store in Caney KS got a 2 truck delivery of inventory. I went in 4 days in a row this week to buy food and still no decent brand of catfood on shelf. There was a a sack of a cheap brand the cats dont do well on and I bought it cause needed something for them to eat. Please understand I run my own business and deal with inventory all of the time. You get ur boxes unloaded and get product on the shelf so u can make sales. Right? Yesterday (Friday) went down petfood aisle and worker was there. Not unloading any petfood . I reached down to get the cheap sack of food and she said we just got that in. I had complained the day before about no food. And I said and I am not very happy have been in here four days and still no food. She started telling me her whoes about the double truck delivery and food is at the back of it all. I said i understand about inventory and some of u just need to work a little harder. She got quiet. I left that aisle and started around store and another lady was slowly pushing a cart of petfood from the back. Four days to bring out food. Thats too long. Well folks your store has lost my catfood business. Iplaced an order with chewy.com last night. It will be here on Monday. Free delivery and its for a cheaper price too. I like to do business locally as much as possible but with no product on shelf I cant. Posting this because as a business owner I would want to know what is going on in my store. Rant is over.

Due to consistently rude behavior from employee's at both Harvest, AL store locations. Our family has unfortunately decided to no longer shop at Dollar General. As a retired military family that is well respected, we have never filed a complaint. However, the unprofessional attitudes of your employees have affected a portion of our proud community requiring initial complaints to ensure new employees are hired and managed professionally. My wife and I have been going to the Dollar General down the road from us for over a week asking for powered sugar. They keep telling us it's in the back room and they will get to it when they can. I was in there recently and asked the general manager when the item was going to be available and she told me "since we have been bugging her about it for a week, it will be the last thing she has stocked and I need to leave her store". She also told my wife and I " If we don't like it then we can go to the competition in another town. She was very rude and disrespectful to us.

women's restroom
The women's restroom has not had a toilet seat for the last 3weeks. I think this is unacceptable. The new remodel of the store looks great, there are nice products as well. But if women and small children have to utilize the facilities, it is very displeasing. The safety issues and sanitary issues that could arise far outweigh the necessity to continue to shop at this location, if not rectified immediately.and yes, I did bring it up to the sales associates that were present .

To Whom it may concern: I arrived at this store around 4:00 pm to purchase several items which include Snuggle Exhilarations Liquid Fabric Softener, Island Hibiscus & Rainflower, 50 Oz. The self adhesive sticker said 2/$5.00. Once I arrived at customer service and began to check the price came up to $4.50 each. I immediately stop the cashier from continuing to ring up my items and told her that the Snuggle Liquid Fabric is on sale 2/$5.00. She called MOD up front and explained to him the issue. He walk to the back to confirm the price and once he returned he had all the stickers in his hand and stated that the sale was only for two days. My problem is he didn't attempt to allow me to purchase the items at the sale price and honestly it's the store duties to remove the signs once the sales are expired. He stated the sale was over on 09/03/2018 and today is 09/06/2018. They would have remained there until I wanted to purchase the items. He was very nonchalant about the entire situation. He needs more management training . Thank you
You read the sign and seen the date and figured you would just [censored] at the register and get it anyway. And since you didn't get what you wanted now you will complain. So sorry that among the millions of things employees have to do the missed a sign, maybe they got pulled away by a customer and missed a section it happens. That does not mean people can take advantage.

08/25/2018 around 7:30 Pm, my neighbor and I had went down to the Local Dollar General store in our town to get some drinks for our children and ourselves. We had chosen our drinks after around twenty minutes of finding some unsweetened tea for him which of course there was none. Some of the coolers were pretty bare along with some shelves. When we had gotten up to the register, we had to wait a half hour before we finally decided to go some where else to purchase our drinks because we got tired of waiting. There was one register open and the other cashier was in the office. The kids drinks were warm. The line was backed up clear around to the coolers.
08/24/2018 around ten thirty eleven o clock in the morning my neighbor and I had went down and got some house hold products like toilet paper, etc. My neighbor had asked about where we could find some lighter fluid. The cashier on the register...the same and only register that always seems to be the only one open anymore had said that there was none left. Okay that is good and fine because we had figured that they had boxed whatever was left and sent it back due to lighter fluid only being a seasonal thing . The cashier was rude and snotty. By the time we got outside the store, we had noticed lighter fluid outside and so we realized by the time that we got into the vehicle to leave that the cashier had lied to us.
09/05/2018 around eight thirty - nine o clock in the morning, my parents, my daughter and I had stopped into the same local Dollar General and you could not hardly get around to any of the aisles because of the roltainers or uboats...whatever they are called. The store was dirty, stuff on the floor, boxes in aisles. The floors looked like they had not been clean in months. My mother went to get a roll of quarters to go do laundry and the MOD just up and left to go talk to either the Coke man or the Pepsi man...it was some guy who brings one of the other to stock the coolers. She left the cashier at the same and only register that is always open standing there for twenty minutes until she came back in. The MOD just glared at me and was hateful towards my mom.
09/06/2018 at around eleven fifteen my parents had walked down to the local dollar general, to get some stuff that was forgotten yesturday. Yet again only one register was open, a line full of people. There was no where to move. Okay, so I understand that all the stores are getting busy to put out Halloween/Christmas items for the holiday seasons, but its another thing when you have a employee that tells a elderly customer who was trying to check out could not go where the cart was because of all the makeup on the floor and every where. The elderly customer had no other way to go because half the aisles are blocked off at some point and can not get through them. So we followed the elderly customer to the cash register and the employee tells my daughter who is only 2 and does not understand that she could not go that way that she needed to get back to her parents. When I got by her, I had told her nicely not to speak to my 2 year old that way again. She was rude and very nasty about it. When we had finally gotten all of our items because it was a maze trying to get through the aisles to get our items, we had to pretty much walk all over other customers because they could not get through as well. Over half of the shelves were empty due to the fact that they were still on every rolltainers and in boxes not being put up. The Manager, the Assistant Manager, The keyholders and another cashier was all over the store and were rude. There is hardly no cat litter on shelves, boxes every where. There is no dog food hardly. There is hardly nothing on shelves. There is some Christmas Items on the shelf. Just can not move any where . The cashier at the register was having a conversation with another elderly customer and the customer had something and the cashier replies back with a snotty preppy tone and says "I do not care" and "whateves." She had said the same thing to me when I was getting my items paid for. There was no key holder, no MOD, nobody helping the new cashier. It was just her by herself with a line full of people yet again backed clear up by the coolers and yet again was half empty and the kids drinks were warm. I have never felt so dirty walking into that dollar general before in my life. After I left, I literally wanted to go home and take a shower to get that clean feeling again.
My husband was a employee at the dollar general store for about a year. He has been treated like a slave. He was always stressed out when he got home from work. He had to do everybody's jobs for them all because they did not want to. When my husband worked there, he would make sure the store was cleaned. He made sure that items were put back in the right spot. He pretty much did everything by himself. My husband is also military in the National Guard. He has his monthly drills and then once a year his two week annual military training. Also with him being in the National Guard he can get a phone call at any time for state duty. For example he can get a phone call tonight saying that he has to get ready to go to a place for several weeks until his job is done. The previous and current manager always complained to me when he had military training that they had wished he would be home so they could have him doing their job for them. Im not going to lie, my husband loved working there at first and then when he caught on that everyone wanted him to be their slave and do their job for them, he started to get stressed out. A little later on closer at the beginning of this year, my husband had found another job. He went in, filled his application out, did the interview. This company was hiring so fast that he did not have time to put his two week notice in because they hired him the very next day. The manager was aware of it. During his final week at dollar general, he became more excited because he was soon going to be starting his next job. The night before his last night at Dollar General, the manager had told him there was some stuff that needed to be put out soon. Okay fine, my husband expected that. What my husband did not expect is that the manager waited until the last minute to tell my husband to put the items out and could not leave until he got everything put out. He did not get home until 11:30-12:00 at night, even though the manager knew that he had to get up early the next morning to go to his monthly military training. So the manager did not like that he had drill the next morning, she decided to put my husband on the no hire list for any other dollar general stores. Also, while my husband was an employee there, the previous manager, the current manager, the assistant manager, and a couple of key holders called him in on his days off because they wanted to take days off and go on vacation. He never hardly asked for a day off. When he did ask for a day off, he never got it. When my husband left for his new job, half of the customers stopped shopping there. They had asked me when he was going to go back to work there. The assistant manager has even asked when he was going to be able to go back.
One of the employees that works at dollar general, she had made it to be well known that she does not like me due to the fact that I am married to my husband. She has tried to get him to the point where it would cause a divorce. My husband and I stopped into Dollar General one day before he had to go to work, and we were walking down the aisle, she had blocked him and he went under her arm. When I walked by her, she asked in a snotty tone and asked why I was always with him. I told her the reason I was always with him pretty much is because I am his wife. She has refused to check me out a couple of times. She flirts and practically throws herself at happily married men. She has refused to do work and made my husband do it. She has made my husband go to the bank because she did not want to. She has been rude to me infront of my children and other customers. I have not done anything to this girl. She has refused to give me the restroom key even though my middle child had to use the restroom and she ended up going to the bathroom in her pants. The employee made a disgusted face and said that she should not have to clean up some person's kids pee mess. There were other customers in the store at the time as well. I told the employee that if she would have given me the key when I had asked for it, I could have taken my daughter to the bathroom so she would not have to use the restroom in her pants. My child did not get into trouble. She is still rude and hateful towards me to this day even though my husband does not work there any longer.
I have a friend who used to work at dollar general as well and she was also put on the no hire list thanks to the previous manager. My friend was getting ready to go to a different job as well. She was able to put her two week notice in and go to her new job. My friend had done her job and did not cause any problems. The previous manager is no longer at dollar general and the current manager does not want to write a letter to help my friend to get back on at dollar general. My friend was black balled by the previous manager to be on the not hired list to any other dollar generals in the surrounding areas. She is now trying to get hired back on at dollar general and she has to have four to five letters from different employees stating that my friend did put her two weeks notice in from where the previous manager has made the statement that she did not.
The current manager and her mom likes to take things from the store because they sell them online. The price tag is still on the items. The current manager and her mother set stuff aside that still has the original dollar general price sticker on the items. I do not know if this is allowed or legal but I do not think it is right.
To you customers that keep complaining. You better not do it at my store. I had an issue with a customer. I the LP that they were stealing. I had to place batteries in their bag myself to make them look guilty. The best part of all of this was I got a gift card for catching the thief.
Kinda suspicious I mean you know the name of our equipment and you documented things down in detail. You sound like a bitter ex employee out for revenge. And yes the shelves do get bare. I mean my store is the only shopping with 25 milesby the time Sunday cones our coolers and food shelves are prettt much empty until the truck comes on weds.

management team
I would like to let someone know how this management team treats their employees. The ones that show up for all their schedules shifts and when possible fills in, gets harassed by the management team. They get punished by hours being cut if they can't come in to fill a shift. Also, via text if they ask you to come in and you're sleeping and don't respond on your days off they talk down to them making them feel awful. I coming from years of running successful retail stores know this is very wrong and very unprofessional. I know the stresses of not having peole show up and call off. However there is a proper way to treat the employees that do always show up for their shifts and when possible not matter how little they can help cover shifts.
That's just business, nothing personal. The one's that show up and is productive gets the hours and the ones that don't show up and isn't productive doesn't get the hours. That's just how business works.

I was yelled at followed out the store constantly being yelled at by employee last night about 8:30 PM in Thomasville Georgia location 11200 US 84 East Thomasville, GA 31757 . My husband and the other employee working at the time witnessed it all I called last night to try to make reasons with the lady to understand why she was yelling at me she began to tell me I need to mind my business and take care my son who have almost lost twice this month due to diabetes . She is always loud with other customers and very disrespectful when things don't go her way to other customers Now fear at the safety for myself and my children and I shop there 2 to 3 times a day .

I'm complaiming about the state of the store at the FLagstaff, az location. It's seriously a dangerous store to be in, it is such a mess with product strewn all over the floor. I had to stop an elderly woman from tripping over a box strewn on the floor today. Pics of the chaos posted below. If I was a manager I'd be very concerned about a lawsuit when someone gets hurt.
