billing
I signed up for a Heartland promotion. The promotion was $3.00 per month. I paid for 6 months in advance. This was completed on 12/21)16 with Mark at 1:27pm. I have spoke with three people since March 2017. Today Sam told me that my fees would increase to $6.00 per month because I did not have that package that I said I had. Supervisor Alex told me that Mark had made a mistake, and that I never paid $3.00 per month, and that I did not have the channels that I've been watching since December. I informed her that I had proof of my monthly payments. Alex the Supervisor, said that she did not have a personal line, said the company did not have uploading capabilities, and that the company did not have the ability to accept faxes to prove what I have been watching and paying since December 21, 2016. Why do I need to be charged an extra $6.00 per month because Mark made a mistake. Although we both made it clear what I was paying for?
dish mastercard reward card expired and they won't reissue.
I signed up for dish back in May of 2016 and I got a $100 dollars rebate master card, I put it in my wallet to use when I had an emergency not knowing that the card expires, well at the beginning of March of 2017 my husband lost his job and didn't have money to pay a bill and thought I would use it and when I called to get the balance it said 0, so I called the reward customer service line [protected] and spoke to Jaymie she said that could not re-issue my card I asked to speak to her supervisor and she also said no, I was devastated I couldn't believe that I lost 100 dollars that I desperately needed so bad. I know that I probably made an honest mistake of not noticing that the reward card expired but I thought that rewards card don't ever expire. I wish they were more understanding since I have been a good customer.
They have not try to get in touch with me by email, phone or any other way.
I never heard from them, I don’t even know if they’re still around because they scammed so many people that I don’t know if they can survive. It sure would be nice to get the $100 dollar’s especially in this hard times.
I had the same experience. The expiration is only about 90 days from issue as well. More thieving from these lowlifes.
Just had it happen to me as well. Mine was for $500!
They said I had 75 days to redeem the card but they never notified me of that fact.
Dish said they contract with a company, Alviere, to handle the gift cards. Dish said Alviere sent us emails telling me to redeem the card, I did not receive any emails, and that Dish was not liable for the $500.
There is no way I would have forgot, or not wanted to, redeem $500.
I don't trust either company now. Cancelled Dish and took a hit for canceling but I am not giving them any of my money for service now or in the future.
contract
My 87 year old grandmother moved into our house once her lease ended in March. We had 2 lines from Dish added to our home to accommodate her. They are saying that she broke her contract and are wanting to charge her $320. There was no way for her to move her service as she didn't move to a new home she also moved to our home which already has dish. They are not willing to do anything to assist us.
billing
Customer beware. We sold our house and closed our dish account (after several years) last june. We had been ebilled monthly, which was fine. Yesterday in the mail I received a letter from a collection agency stating that I owe dish network $90.in the 9 months since we closed our account I never received a bill from dish. Nothing. Needless to say I was shocked to see the collection notice. I called dish. They supposedly transferred me to the office of the president (i'm not buying that) where I was informed that upon discontinuing my service, they had also stopped the ebilling and began sending the final bill to the service address. There is no mail delivery at the service address. She could not explain why they wouldn't just ebill the final bill as they had been doing with my monthly bills, but insisted that there are many ways to search on-line to find my bill (that I didn't have any idea I even owed). The bottom line is, I had no reason to suspect that I owed anything, and dish network took it upon themselves to send a bill to a non-existent address.
billed for unreturned equipment.
Paid last bill Dec.23/2016, service covered until Jan/15/2016.
I was told I would have a credit.
Equipment returned to dish, picture taken of tracking number.
Received confirmation that equipment was received via email.
My account was billed 75.60 for un-returned Joey, both Joeys where placed in the box at time of packaging/return.
Called dish, they stated we didn't return Joey, I told them I had received confirmation. I was told the Joey was not in there system, therefore, I owed. I told them how can I return something that was already returned and that I no longer have.
They did the same with me.. the tracking number shows it's with UPS but 3 months into it they still don't have.. charged me 250 for defective equipment. I called the office of president they removed the charge after they saw I did my job and dropped it at UPS. 2 weeks later a box from dishnetwork at my door and they are asking me to return the equipment I don't have. I made five calls and all reps see one thing.. I still have that equipment..
Dish has done the same to me...I sent photocopies of UPS shipping receipts and had UPS verify the equipment had been returned to Dish. This absurd cycle of nothingness occurred over and over with no hint from Dish accepting the obvious...just more bills. They charged my card after explicitly verbally and in writing plus emails telling them they were NOT authorized to use my card for any reason. They refuse to open channels provided by UPS to dialogue and finally UPS started a fraud investigation into their actions on my behalf. We'll see where that goes...I may be just one voice but when I'm blatantly poked in the eye by some Dish punk policy I will rise to a level of indignant righteousness the likes of wish DISH will not soon be able to dismiss. I got the time and I HATE liars so...is it on? maybe, could be...let's see.
the same thing happened to me and i sent them back. they charged me 0ver 467. dont mind paying my bill but they took out and wasnt told they could
unauthorized credit card charges
Spoke with a dish representative, I told him I only wanted to check out pricing and did not want to sign up with anything yet. He took my ssn and told me he was going to check my credit, he also said he needed my debit card number so that he can hold my place if I decided I wanted to go with them and told me nothing will be taken out of my account. After I got my quote I found out they took 50 dollars out of my bank account. I called them the next day and told them I did not authorize that. I was on the phone with them for an hour getting the run around, and given different phone numbers trying to track down where this all started from. Finally I was transferred to the guy who I talked to originally and he tried telling me that I was told about the 49.99 charge. He told me that if I decided not to go with the service then my money would be put back. So I told him I do not want the service and I want my money back. He transferred me to customer service and they told me my money would be back in my account in 2-3 business days. I found the entire thing completely shady and I do not want their service.
I have over $600.00 in charges I did not make with my credit card. I called my credit card company they told me to call Dish. Dish said there were more than two charges made and they could not do anything about it. My credit card says they cannot do anything about it. Neither one of them are addressing the problem so what next. Is Dish so disparate that they taken stolen money for customers who do not have their service? We need protection here. I am a senior on a fixed income that cannot afford to pay for something I did not buy. Shame on Dish.
collection letter and I do not have and never have had service through dish
Per csr I spoke to today at 400 pm on feb 24 2017 told me that the service was opened on april 2016 but like I told her why would I open a dish acct if I have xfinity for the past 7 yrs? The acct number on letter is [protected].
I need this situation fixed on dish side and they need to send a letter to the collection agency because it is messing with my credit! Like I told the csr this is clearly a fraud situation I dont know if they kept my information from when I inquired over 9 yrs ago and gave to someone else or for a former dish employee I dont know.
customer service: kevin
On February 14th 2017 I called Dish customer service and told them to cancel all free premiums I had on both of my Dish Accounts, Kevin who the customer service Advocate was assured me he had done that I come to find out I get Bill the very next month and I have been charged for all premiums what did the guy think I called in for if not to have something done this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen although they did take care of it with another customer service Advocate Kevin is the worst CSR I've ever seen
they are here to hook up in 13 hours after you order but when you need a tec they could care less
Call I don't have the channels I watch. Girl couldn't check cause it was prime time taping. So told me how to do it. She said if it comes up low single call so a Tec could come out tomorrow friday. Will I called and no one can come till Saturday. I won't b home and I want to watch my shows not what they want me to watch. Then they say we will give you $10.00 credit on your bill. What a joke. I want a Tec I want to watch my shows that I pay for the channels. Very dissatisfied I am. I feel like you got my money who care I don't have what I pay for.
took money out of account for cancelled install
Customers beware of pretty fliers in the mail offering you free gift cards. Listen to your gut instinct - if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is! I called customer service to only get a quote and now I find my day ruined by worrying that I am overdrawing my checking account, because of a charge that DISH made. I called to get a quote and was told they would set up a "temporary reservation" for installation and they would give me a quote. Went through giving out my info, including social security number for a credit check. Had already a bad feeling - just felt like it was one sales tactic after another. They want you to so badly sign up for a 2 year contract and once you have - your account will be billed every month. I was told I could cancel the installation after talking with my husband. My husband came home for lunch and he agreed with me - we had better service and was cheaper to stick with current cable company. I immediately called 15-30 minutes after the original phone call to cancel the installation. They tried throwing more sales gimmicks at me by offering and extra $5 off monthly bill and $100 off first bill. They even offered to increase the free gift card to $150 from $100! Waived a processing fee of $49.95. They want you to feel like you are getting a fantastic deal. This is all taught in training their customer service. It's a scam. I WAS told their would be a $1.00 charge on my account that would be on hold and then be reversed. They NEVER explained I would be charged $157.50 installation fee and it would take 7 days to reverse the charge, if I cancel the order. So, 2 days after the cancellation, I see $157.50 has been charged to my checking account. This is a big hit to my checking and I had to move money out of a secondary savings to avoid checks bouncing! So upsetting. I called customer service and after talking to about 4 or more people they all tell me there was nothing they could do. I feel really bad for other customers out there, worse off than me, that can't move money around to avoid bouncing checks. $157.50 is a lot to be charged for nothing. The order was cancelled within 15-30 minutes of the original call. I received nothing. Nothing was installed and yet they charged my account $157.50! This is wrong and they refused to make it right. People at dish are thieves. I will not ever do business with them and will tell everyone I know the same.
tv
I have called 4 times asking your people to send me a copy of my contract ivve been put off and told i would get it within 10 days but they were deducting money from my acct tomorro ive been calling for 8 days just want an emailed copy because your such a underhanded company ive been lied to and everything ive been told by one person been taken by the next my channels have changed constantly no one knows why of course, I want proof of what I owe before your greedy bunch touches my money
contract term
I joined Dish Network in August, 2014 in response to a mailing. In August of 2015, I had to suspend my service because I was moving to a rental in which I could not continue the service. This required a monthly fee in order to avoid early cancellation charges. In October 2015 Dish sent me notice to return 3 of my devices, which I did. I resumed regular service in January 2016 when I purchased a new home. Since they required me to return several set-top boxes, I needed new ones in order to resume my service. Dish took this opportunity to put me on a new 2 year contract without my knowledge. I specifically paid a monthly suspension of account monthly fee to avoid changing my original contract. In July 2016 we had weather damage to our satellite dish, which required a technician. When he came out he suggested I try the new wireless setup box. I called Dish to order one. When ordering on online chat with a Dish rep, the list of agreements included adding a new 2 year contract. At that point, I told them no, and the customer support rep told me they would wave that for me because I “am a good customer.†On February 3, 2017 I called Dish to cancel my service. They told me I was still under contract. I was outraged. I asked to be escalated and was told they do not take calls. She said they had no record of the rep waving my additional 2 year contract for the wireless box and seemed not to understand that they made me send back my equipment in fall of 2015 so I would need new equipment when I resumed service.
This is complete fraud in my opinion. I was a good customer to Dish. I paid all my bills on time and I followed their rules. I paid a maintenance fee in order to keep my account active because I knew I was only temporarily displaced. Today I got a bill for $240 for an early cancellation. This is outrageous behavior on the part of Dish.

raising rates 1 yr into 2 yr contract
My bill was increased from $89.21 to $109.21 one year into my two year agreement with DISH. I committed to 24 months and intend to comply as long as you agree to your end of the agreement. I was told by your customer service representative that my rates would NOT go up for two years if I agreed to a two-year commitment. I agreed to renew for two years based on that understanding. I have reviewed the agreement you sent me and it makes no mention of a $15 reduction for 1 year only.
I have been a customer of DISH for a long time. If you will not honor the commitment made by you customer service representative. Then the agreement we have is NULL and void. I await your replay preferably in writing.
Sincerely yours,
Levi Lebo
local channels gone, yet rates went up.
Very disappointed in Dish. No local news channels due to Dish claiming negotiating fees. Also went to watch a movie on "Chiller" and found the channel gone. When I chatted on line (2/2/2017) the service rep said Chiller went out of business. I not only checked with Direct T.V. but checked with my neighbor who has Direct T.V., she claims they have Chiller and our local news. Why Dish are you having your reps lie?
So basically you raised the rates $5.00 per month and took away local news and a movie channel. I have been with Dish for at least 7 years and I feel they do not care about their customers.

I just got off the phone with DISH Network. Spoke with Louie, Loyalty Dept then Ernest in the Office of the President. No resolution. Chiller was one of my favorite channels. Both said too bad so sad. We have 11 months left of our contract and $220 for early termination fee. I told both Louie and Ernest the reason we purchased the package we did was so we could have the Chiller channel. DISH did not offer a comparable replacement. Very disappointed in the customer service. Filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.
dish network
I am paying for a service that I have yet to receive (signed up on 12/13/16). I've made numerous calls and have had even more chat sessions. All have lead nowhere. The dish receiver had to be replaced after it blew the picture in my main TV. They don't want to make it right and are very unwilling to credit my account for the four out of six months that I didn't have service! These people need to be investigated by the Feds!
billing and fees
Hello. I have talked to so many people within the Dish Network Service and including supervisors. I had so much trouble with my billing being continually wrong. Every statement was wrong and If they corrected one issue there were new issues on the next billing.
I was promised after call after call after call and so much of my time wasted on hold and being transferred to then miraculously getting dropped on their end of the call just when we were getting to the finalizing. I finally got to talk to a person back in May of 2014 that apologized and agreed they would cancel my services and not charge an early term fee. I had been with Dish for many years. I found out just a few weeks ago that I have a collection with them. They charged me for the service long after I cancelled and returned the equipment for (in which I had to argue and complain because they said they did not show my equipment returned and I had proof) and they charged an early term fee after countless hours on the phone to get this resolved. Now they are refusing to take this off and asking me to pay for services I did not even have the service for (they say they cannot pull up the phone records to listen) but yet want me to pay for services when I did not have them AND the early term fee! This is horrible service!
So I finally talked to someone that agreed to send me the invoices for what they are claiming to charge me. It states "Please do not respond to this email. If there are any questions you will need to contact Joseph Pearson at [protected], ext. 79162 from mon fri 6-4 for further assistance." I called this number and was told there is no one there by the name and the extension doesn't exist. I am over it and over them messing with my credit.
I just want these unreasonable and unfair charges removed.
dish tv
I am so very disgusted with dish and my local abc affiliate. I watch abc more than any other channel and I can't watch it because you and the local affiliate can't agree on fees! Yall say it's them... They say it yall, but i'm the one losing out! I pay every month but can't watch what I want! I don't have the option of disconnecting dish to watch local station, cause I rent and do not have an antenna, believe me i've tried. Thinking of canceling this and go with cable company.

installation
I was told when I signed up it was a free installation charge, they show up and it's $50 for every wall drop or upgrade and pay more for the wireless equipment. That was not disclose to me in my conversation with the guy I set the account up with. So I feel I was basically lied to just to get my service. It cost me $195 to just get started, so where is my free installation in $195. I would have kept my direct tv if I knew I had to pay that much just to get started.
charged for returned equipment
Summer 2013 I used my credit card so my daughter could get hooked up with DISH, guy told me ONE TIME CHARGE on card. June or July 2013 my credit card get's billed $297.50 & $750.00-WTF! Im on the blower making no headway, so I cancell DISH-get equipment return box's from them & sent it back-FEDEX or UPS. Called my credit union Card Services & disputed the charges, on August 30, 2013 my dispute was resolved in my favor-great I got justice! On 2014 Dish throw's me under the bus for a debt I dont owe - then [protected] my credit rating take's a hit so I get my report from Experian and guess what?In December 2014 Dish turn's me into STELLAR RECOVERY INC. KALISPELL, MT 59901, for a $609.00 debt. So check this out they get their stuff back in box's they sent & labeled-they try to screw me via my credit card for $297.50 & $750.00 then they think Im gona toss out $609.00 to these ####'s for ZIP. Plus they are screwing up my one time great credit rating. Where's the justice? unethical behaviour
In May of 2015, I saw an add from Dishnet, for an advertised price ($55 a mo.) for two years, which I liked and signed. At the time of signing, I didn't get a copy of the contract, I think I signed on a device from the technician. At the beginning of the second year, the price changed to double the price of what I was paying, so I contacted Dish support, for explanation, and was told that the offer was just for the first year. The representative, offered me a lower plan (less channels, and still more expensive than the original plan by @$25.00) At that point I was offered to put the service in pause, for 6 months, when I complained and I accepted. After the 6 months, I was put back on service and I installed the box. The service did not work, because it was disconnected from the main box outside on the street. They said that they would have to charge $95, for a technician to come to my home to do that. I objected, and in top of that, they wanted to charge me another $50.00, which I refused to pay. Finally we agreed to, for me to pay an extra $10.00 for future repair service. My bill has jumped from @70.00 to $122.00. I'm not paying for that, I'm on social security, so I'm dealing with a budget. I will request cancellation of the contract, for Dish illegal practices on advertising. Also, next step would be to contact my nevada representative for help with dealing with this issues and to give, them, bad review on complaint boards. Thank you, very much.
