I am writing to formally dispute a charge I have recently been told I am responsible for regarding my vehicle’s transmission service at your Auburn, CA location.
On October 31, 2025, I had a refurbished transmission installed in my vehicle at your shop. After only approximately 10,000 miles and less than six months later, the transmission failed, and I brought my vehicle back to your location in April 2026. Given the short timeframe and mileage, this situation clearly falls within the warranty coverage provided at the time of service.
However, I have now been informed that there is an additional process that was not performed during the original installation, and that I am being asked to pay for it now. I was also told that the warranty company indicated this process should have been completed initially.
I have significant concerns about this for the following reasons:
• If this process was required for proper installation, it should have been completed during the original service.
• The failure of the transmission in such a short period raises serious questions about whether the initial installation met required standards.
• I should not be held financially responsible for an oversight or missed step during the original repair.
I have already paid a substantial amount for this repair and relied on your expertise to ensure the work was completed correctly. As a customer, I expect that all necessary procedures are included in the original service, especially when they impact the reliability and lifespan of the transmission.
Given the circumstances, I am requesting that:
• All necessary repairs and required processes be completed at no additional cost to me under the existing warranty.
• Written clarification of the warranty coverage and the reason for the initial omission.
I depend on my vehicle daily for work and school, and resolving this matter promptly is extremely important. I would appreciate your immediate attention to this issue and a resolution that reflects the warranty and the service I originally paid for.

Claimed loss: $300

Desired outcome: I don't want to have to pay this because it was not my mistake.
