Never travel by delta airlines, if you value yourself

Delta airlines is bloody racist.
I was travelling from detroit to hongkong and back. while return I found something very unique which I never came across in my travel history with dozens of other airlines.
Just because I am not white, my baggage was flagged with red lable, while checking in with delta staff who were local chinese. to add to injury, they have sent me to separate interogation counter where I was asked several questions, if I was travelling with purpose, if I packed my baggage myself, where I was for last few days etc. on my displeasure they said it was random check by airlines. upon completing this, I was standing there to see if they check anybody else. none of the passenger was flagged including blacks or whites in that fully booked flight except me. I went to counter again and requested to talk to manager. he came and said, it is just that the computer randomly selected me out of whole bunch of passengers. it was just because I am of south asian decendent (not muslim), though I am north american resident.
I told manager how can hongkong administration can be so racist, specially hongkong's economy is only surviving on tourism and trade fairs?
It is my opinion that delta airlines have instructed world wide to specially check all the south asians no matter they are muslims or not. even their baggage tags are flagged with red label.
It is my request to all of you that never travel by delta airlines which is bloody racist and involved in discrimination.
Besides their onboard services, they just have one young flight attendant at the gate to welcome, to make it compete with other good airlines. but once your enter inside you will find total old age above 65+ flight attendants who are suppose to be playing with their grand childrens. what best you can expect from this racist american airlines.
There are great airlines like singapore airlines, cathay, emirates, lufthansa, etihad, korean, asiana. why even delta - nwa management even bother to run this almost sick, bankrupt airlines.
I will always avoid these hopless airlines and warning others not to travel this risky airline if you have self respect and value your own and family's life.
Their fleet is all outdated garbage. I forgot to mention, at detroit during beginning of my onward journey the cargo door of airline was broken, for that flight was delayed for more than 2 hours just before take off. because of this I had to stay in narita for one night and my business schedule was disturbed. interestingly this airlines never fly in time, and also their fleets are technically not upto date unlike other great airlines in asia. delta airline is highly risky, untimely. food is horrible, drinks they charge 6$ even for such long flights. only good thing is that it comes from the land of george bush. god bless this racist ba*stards

None of North American airlines counts in Service Excellence or 4 star or five star rating as per Skytrax listing. It is simply about fleet, quality, service levels and the ground and on board staff.
I always avoid north american airlines for international routes. They succcccccccccccccck big time also their safety ratings are not encouraging.
Most American Airlines only target Asians for random checking, it becomes more worse whey their computer choose them randomly depending on their name, skin color( decided by nationality and passport).
Now even white people are figuring in terrorism besides muslims who constitute most terrorists across the globe.
Most attendants in North American airlines are above 65 plus, some of them are even 70, whose experience and expertise cannot be of any help, except facing their old age frustration. They need more of retired life than flying atop 32000 feet where swift and energetic staff are required.
Obasan seems to have not tried any other airlines like Cathay, SQ, Korean, Asiana, Emirates, jet, kingfisher, Malaysian, Qutar, Thai where passengers are treated royally, She doesn't know difference between good, bad and better. Strange she has traveled 2.5 million miles and still not aware of service levels of different airlines. What is to there to feel so good about American airlines, which most of them are on the verge of bankruptcy with old and outdated aircrafts except high peak arrogance of its staff.
People who travel internationally frequently know that with U.S. airlines, the flight attendants do tend to be older, with the reason being that one must typically first put in some time on domestic flights and have more seniority with the airline before being assigned to international flights. World travelers also happen to know that many airlines from other countries (especially Asian countries) do have very young flight attendants even on international flights because they don't have the type of equal opportunity employment laws that we have in the U.S. so they hire only "young and attractive" attendants which I believe is an insult to qualified women applicants who are older.
I'm an Asian woman and have traveled many times every year of my life since age 2 totaling about 2.5 million miles so far with many different airlines (although primarily U.S. carriers) and I've never been in a situation where I felt that I received discriminatory treatment.
If she was told that it's a random check, it probably was and she's reading too much into it. She doesn't sound like an experienced traveler. For someone who complains about how she is treated she makes way too many sterotyping comments. Also, I'm sort of surprised that this was conducted by the airline. The kinds of questions that she mentions are usually handled by Customs or Immigration, or TSA (in the U.S.).
Troubled American economy is now slave of China. Many young Americans prefer to live in China and do butler and teacher job in China. So only old aged grand moms can only work in these type of crappy airlines. I have not seen any American airlines doing good where even water and other drinks are sold on international routes. None of top 20 world class airlines charge for any drink. Most top airlines have great service, on demand video movies, great food and cocktails all complimentary.
Scary part of Delta airlines is their fleet which are poorly maintained and they are still worried about anyone who is Asian or more precisely south Asian. They think Asians are just Asians and Americans are the only supreme race or nation. But unfortunately in the land where money and greed is only the criteria nothing much can be discussed.

Irish may be a troll but some points in this letter she made make sence. First of all we don't know if the FA"s are over 65. Unfortuntately Muslims expect to be labled and further questioned after 9/11, and it seems like the OP expects this treatment for Muslim flyers and not herself, then he has the nerve to complain racism. Maybe they are lying to him about the random selection. Also not all grandparents play with their grandchildren, and in this time and age they are forced to work after retirment just to pay bills. I agree with Irish that it is not his concern who is hired to work. I also don't think this had anything to do with racism. I also bet the OP isnt the only South Asian on that flight, and probably not the only one who was tagged. In fact they should be paying more attention to their baggage than who is being tagged.
